Mr. Keesler, you may believe that these guys were protecting our country, and I might agree with you, except for the fact that the illegal immigrants that they shot were unarmed, fleeing, and shot in the back. Not exactly brave behavior. Their actions were no better than the BART police officer who shot the man in the back while he was on the ground.

I am not for illegal immigration. Until such time as it is deemed necessary for deadly force to be used to protect our borders, we can't just shoot unarmed civilians looking for a better life. These two were tried on the charges, found guilty by a jury of their peers, and sentenced. They deserve no other special treatment, and certainly, the do not deserve a pardon.

Dave Beauvais has his facts wrong. Scooter Libby did not blow the "cover" of Valerie Plame. Plame's name became public in an column written by Robert Novak. Novak's source for Plame's name was Richard Armitage, the number 2 guy at State Department.

Libby did indeed lie to special prosecutor Fitzgerald, which earned him the indictment. Libby was never charged with "leaking" Plame's cover. But Fitzgerald knew from the onset that Libby was not the source and that Armitage was, because Armitage had told Fitzgerald. Why wasn't Armitage indicted you might ask? Because the "leaking" of Plame's name wasn't a crime, but lying to a Special Prosecutor is.

All you have to do is google Novak, Armitage, and Plame to see the facts.

The illegal drug dealer was shot in the side of the buttocks, not in the back. Those agents were doing their jobs, and they don't deserve to be in jail; they deserve to be released. That illegal drug dealer has since AGAIN been caught illegally transporting illegal drugs into this country. How come no one is outraged about THAT!?
