pjam, i have lost all respect for you. so now this is a zionist plot? do you see a jew or israel behind everything that does not go along with the iranian govt's agenda?
also, she does not say she is going to sue the lawyer for any LIES. she says she is going to sue him for dishonoring her by bringing all the media attention to her case. and i dont believe she wd be antagonistic toward the lawyer who fought for her life in any case.

If a rekigion is revealed by God to man, is man supposed to be arrogant and choose what thar rekigion should allow or not? Isn't the purpose of religion, precisely, the acceptance of God's superior knowledge?

Muslim societies are very caveman theatrical, a great boon to the media. Consider what they have:
Public whipping. Whipping in the west is done in depraved brothels.
Stoning, a wild and crazy thing done before invention of firearms to show rejection by the community.
Spectacular mutilation and maltreatment of women.
Sex permitted with children and animals. Cousin marriage producing birth defects.
Huge screaming mobs over every little thing. Murder of minorities permitted. Little, brutal tribal and sectarian wars.
A great boon to the media indeed.
So western society allows whipping when it is an act done for pleasure, but condemns it as a means to punish the guilty and uphold the law? If men and women can freely chose whipping for pleasure, why can't they chose it as a form of punishment and freely avoid those acts that woukd warrant punishment by whipping. Please do not answer, because whipping is brutal. Its bringing pleasure or psin is irrelevant. The issue is, why can it be chosen frely in one case, and not in another?
And what kind of media is a media that feeds on others' suffering to make money and entertain its audience ?

On this CNN video a man calming to be Ashtiani son speaks to CNN
If this man is her son he should speak with Azeri ascent but he does not he is a fake pretending to be her son.

i watched the video, but, of course, i wdnt know whether he speaks with an azeri accent. still, this seems a silly reason to say he is not her child. i dont speak with the accent of my parents, and they didnt speak with the accent of their parents, and there are many reasons that can account for that.[different generations, different schools in different geographical areas, etc] surely, there are relatives, neighbors, friends, the school system who know if this is her son. who do u think he is and why do u think he is defending her?
there must be people who have known him and the family since his childhood. i think if there were anyone [such as the husband's family] who has any reasonable evidence or knowledge that he is not who he says he is, they wd come forward to expose the lie.

I do not believe that her video testimony is fake or made under duress because she defends her actions and her story is not the same as the court evidence showed. If this was forced confession then she would have been forced to admit to drugging her husband and covering up the murder, she does not and continues to deny the clear evidence found against her.
is the court evidence/testimony made public? can unbiased people or journalists sit in court and listen to the testimony? i dont know law, but i think in the usa this wd ALWAYS be the case. this is a good thing since, as u point out, ppl in power [ie judges]are susceptible to corruption.
