In a just world, Bush Cheney, Rumsfeld would all be handed over to the hague for War Crimes!!

Hello, until we deal with the fact that this country was lead to War that resulted in the deaths of more than 4000 US soldiers, more than 100 thousand Iraqi citizens and costs more than 1 trillion dollars based ON LIES, we will be at risk of doing it again!!

Iraq is free a much better place since it was liberated and no longer a threat to America... They are not building bombs like their hostile neighbors. Even the extreme liberal Bill Mahr admitted it this week!

Oh Really? Liberated as in Car Bombings all over Baghdad? As in, Iran now controls much of it? As in, they're selling their Oil to China?

Yes, Iraq is fragile but still free, standing, and a much better place ... However, Obama still has plenty of time to blow it.

"U.S.-led invasion," that's a joke.

Dumbya's "coalition" was nothing but a bunch of nowheresville nations he bribed to toss their hats (and very little else) into the ring in order to give his and Cheney's malicious, unnecessary little war the veneer of a "U.N. mandate" or whatever. He wanted a nice, justifiable war like Daddy's, but alas, it became clear after NO WMD WERE FOUND that he'd lied all along.

Iraq is a mess, tens of thousands died, millions were dislocated, hundreds of billions were spent, all because Saddam tried to diss Georgie's daddy.

What a tragedy. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and company ought ALL to be in jail to this day.

If GW lied ,so did these people!

Saddam's intent was still there. Watch both video clips

Read Powel's interview! A little long but worth it.

http://www.nbcnews.com/id/19092206/

Re-read UN 1441.

You may not agree with the war, who really does, including the people that fight it, but we as a world are better off without Saddam and his sons!

So Retired POS' argument goes this way:

'Everything you say about Bush is true, but other people lied too...and Saddam intended to do bad things...and Powell said something...and there was a U.N. Resolution! So Bush was right.'

I doubt 100K Iraq casualties would agree if they were better off after the war. There are alot of countries out there if the US or the UN invaded and took out the leadership it would be an improvement. But it shouldn't be an outsider's decision. The US is NOT the official policemen of the world. The politicians may think it, act like it or accept it but it is not THE truth.

Remember the uproar after last election when there was talk of sending UN inspectors HERE, to monitor OUR political process. Or even mention that UN troops are training here and see the distain.

It pains me to see the conditions and events in other countries but it IS THEIR country. Until they officially ask for our help and request and/or international tribunal for various crimes no country has any business in another's business.

Washington (CNN)- Ten years after the start of the Iraq war, most Americans say the war was a mistake and that it was dumb to send U.S. troops into the conflict, according to a new national survey.

And a CNN/ORC International poll released Tuesday also indicates that more than half of the public says that President George W. Bush's administration misled Americans about whether Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, and more than half describe the more than eight and a half year long war as a stalemate.

As Americans mark the tenth anniversary of the conflict, 59% of those questioned in the survey say the decision to originally send U.S. troops into Iraq was dumb.

LOL ... That's not what all the major intelligence services told us BEFORE the war, including many Democrats like Hillary Clinton.

You're also foolish to believe Saddaam Hussein wouldn't be building a bomb right now and engaged in a Middle East arms race with Iran right now if he were alive.

Saddam did lose the first Gulf War and did not live up to his end of the treaty. This was a 12 year ordeal, or did you forget that part? He made the international community, including the UN look like fools and 9/11 changed everything. We could not take that chance. His intent was still there, he wasjst buying time. And the day the US becomes a dictatorship, I will welcome UN inspectors. With this current Admin.it may sooner rather then later.

Bush's reason and jusification was right. It WAS a legal war unlike ObAma's war in Libya. Clinton had the UN backing in '98 but was more interested in a BJ. Bill kicked that can down the road ,just like he did with UBL. THANKS BILL!!

My thing is when Saddam gassed the Kurds after Gulf War I right then and there they had proof of use of wmds. Heck they would've had bodies to autopsy for more proof. I find it too convenient as an excuse for the GW jr crew to "finish" a job over a decade later.

There will always be threats and/or percieved threats so you need more than a reactionary & aggressive defensive stance to deal with them. If a civilian dealt with potential "threats" from criminals the GW jr crew overreacted to Saddam they would be in jail for murder by now.
