White House Weighs Iraq Airstrikes
The White House is weighing direct military strikes to stem an Islamic militant group's gains in Iraq, as well as humanitarian relief for thousands of displaced religious minorities in the country's north, according to U.S. defense officials and others familiar with the administration's thinking.

That's our Odumbo: always a day late and a dollar short.
The ENTIRE purpose of any US airstrikes would be to give Obama political cover. He'll later tell another huge lie: "Well, we did what we could, but things just didn't work out." Pure bullsh*t. He has deliberately waited until it is too late, probably against the advice of his military advisers. This is all just a big dog & pony show for his low information supporters who still believe his phony crap.

What do we owe Iraq? The tab has been paid for Bush's blunder. What is the purpose for fake concern about Iraq or other Sunnis in the ME?

Boots in the air.Thats the way to go.

There needs to be another Crusade of Christians willing to stand up for what is right and honorable, stopping the obvious genocide and tyranny Bush's success would have precluded if continued. The lies and perfidy of the Democrats starting in the 2000 election and restarted with a vengeance two weeks after 9/11 are solely responsible for the deaths of many thousands of innocents in Iraq and very many of the deaths of our soldiers. Had they the character to stand with right and honor, Christians wouldn't be dying today. Marxist Democrats depend upon the chaos and destruction their Obama has brought throughout every nation in which he's meddled, or abandoned to Muslim extremists.

Talking about dog and pony show, I would bet suing the president is the most inane dog show - along with the repub's screeching about their shutdown of the government..
Past question to Colin Powell:
"You were famously quoted as saying if you break it, you own it about the consequences of an American invasion of Iraq. So do we own it?"
Colin Powell was quoted in "Plan of Attack" as cautioning President George Bush before the war that he would "own" Iraq and all its problems, after military victory.

Only two months too late.We should have launched a massive airstrike while ISIS was on the move rather have allowed them to entrench themselves in the civilian population.Similar to the "highway of death" inflicted on the Iraqi Army fleeing Kuwait with war booty. These are not"holy warriors" but parasites. The Obomb has lost the initiative and has these people's blood on his hands. He's too busy with his video/drone war to see the opportunity to strike a real blow against these religious fascists.

You are completely wrong!Whether Bush was in office,it would not affect the rise of ISIS.What was utterly stupid was a"president"whose foreign policy amounts to"retreat and disarm"and ignore all threats until the sword of religious fascism is over your head.Imperial Japan committed similar atrocities until they were cut off and killed. They also engaged in futile war they could not win.We must see this enemy as ruthless thugs fit only for slaughter. If they can't live in peace in this life.let them search for a "homeland"in the next.

I'll take that bet! Obama has been chastened by the Supreme Court for his dictatorial administration. It is necessary that the people's representatives also bring into account the importance of separation of powers to this great Republic.
Now, as to Gen. Powell's statement:
You should recall that Obama himself declared victory in Iraq back in 2011.
So, if Obama does not own the turmoil that currently exists there, who does?
Obama was given a democracy, teetering perhaps, in Iraq. He owns the problems there today. Just as he owns the problems his lack of leadership has caused all over the globe.

Bush liberated millions in Iraq and ushered in arab spring.
bar0ck turned arab spring to winter by golfing from behind.
History will not be kind to the 0rganizer.

Obama meddled, Bush's success? Malaki?

This could get interesting as isis has captured all the state of the art recent US anti-aircraft weaponry that was left for the iraqi military that ran away screaming with their skirts up at the first sign of battle. It won't be long before US aircraft drop like flies.

We American-99% are against American-Forces' airstrikes on Iraq!
We Americans must show that our America is a democratic-country!
We must check which Senators agree to American-Forces' airstrikes on Iraq.
We must check which Representatives agree to American-Forces' airstrikes on Iraq.
And, we must campaign against those politicians at next election!
We must campaign to blackball those politicians,
because we think that those politicians are deemed unfit for public office.
Our America is a democratic-country!
American-politicians are always finding excuses to begin wars in order only to get money from military-industry.
American-politicians always want wars, because American-politicians get money from military-industry.
Fire them now!
And, wars can raise American-stock-prices.
So, American-media and Wall-Street too want wars.
Fire them now!
American-stock-prices must crash now!
We American-99% need money!
We American-99% need trade-surplus of the U.S. and current-account-surplus of the U.S.!
We American-99% need America to be a creditor-nation!
We are American-99%!

American-Military-Industry wants jobs periodically,
so that American-Military-Industry can get money.
We American-99% must cut this evil chaines now!
There is NO Deomcracy.
There is NO justice in this action.
We American-99% must cut this evil chaines now!
I am afraid that CIA or FBI will arrest me.

The people trapped on the mountaintop in Iraq are not Christian, Muslim, nor Jewish. They are of a religious organization that no doubt, all three major religions would not find palatable. And, when Christians crusaded hundreds of years ago, they did so with the same level of violence and intolerance that ISIS, Taliban, and Al Qaida have demonstrated.
So, are you saying that Christians would defend the rights of a group of people who worship a Peacock Angel? Really? I would like to see that. It would be quite interesting to witness. So then once the Christians defended these folks, would they be able to live and let live, or would these Christians then go about trying to convert these folks to Christianity? Or maybe these folks would be more influential and convert the Christians into Peacock worshippers. Hmmm.
Violence is horrible, it really does not matter who the offender may be. And Religious fanaticism is also destructive and always leads back to the thing that none of us need in this world which is more intolerance and violence.
So keep your Christian fanaticism to yourself. It has never worked with Protestants, Catholics, or the Spanish Inquisition.
No thanks, been there, done that, and not at all helpful. Just a cycle of violence.

Wait till China starts taking islands from Japan, you'll change you tune.LOL
#17 Aug 8, 2014
Is that why Japan invaded China and and committed those attrocites during WW2?Is that why Imperial Japan started a war it could not win?Pearl Harbor was not a brilliant military operation but national suicide and Yamamoto was a fool who paid the ultimate price.Your country should be an example of the term"military blunder".

What Israel, and the U.S.A is doing in the Middle East is like a covert Crusade anyways.
You Neoconservatives are getting your wish.
I say no to wasting American lives, and money on some lousy Semites.

The only difference between you and those people trapped on that mountain in N.Iraq is distance.Tell me what the difference is between a Muslim"jihad"and a Christian"crusade".Q uestions about political parties is irrelevant. You lead a shielded jaded lifeYou also need a crash course in reality.Being Muslim or claiming to"Muslum"has not saved the victims. Why?IT'S Not ABOUT RELIGION!!!.

The crusades had slight justification, but, in the end Western European crusaders cared more about shooting, and looting the Middle East.
Western Europeans kind of remind me of Arabs.
Well, Western Europeans do have a lot of Middle Eastern neolithic farmer DNA, much more so than North Eastern Europeans who have DNA that resembles La Brana, and Ma'lta boy.
Western Europeans, Arabs, Africans, they are all sick, they always are chimping out looting, and shooting some thing.
