Pretty cut & dry. It's the product stupid! Acknowledging his success as a visionary and his ability to develop best-in-class products, it's a bit moot to call it "Schizophrenic", when he CONSISTENTLY guards the gold mine he built by way of a second-to-none product portfolio.
Why would you classify someone who comes to the stage in his blue jeans and the same turtleneck shirt, as a marketing genius, versus simply tagging him as true to form & straight forward. The products sold themselves & the audience was so delighted with the previous one, that they'd have listened to a talking moose explain it's successor.
This guy just doesn't seem to get it. He's coming from a time-honored perspective of how a company has to claw & beg to stay afloat. That's what makes Steve Jobs' & Apple's methodologies a mystery to him.
