Difference is Scheckter did not confront Marco after the race. Marco did not "block" him as portrayed. He made a mistake. Getting penalized was a joke. Remember the days before Barnhart and the IRL where the racers were allowed to race and the races were not micromanaged?

Props to Danica for hanging most of the night with the front runners. Let your drving speak for you and not your whiney mouth. YOu have the talent and equipment to win now. Like Teresa Earnardt said about Dale Jr, are you going to decide to be a winning racer or a racing celebrety first?

Dani Gurl owes Foyt's pit crew big time for dropping that tire and taking out 3 cars and drivers better than her or else she would have finished 6th. But now it will be turned into the "drive of her career" by the media for someone who never has won either in the IRL or Atlantics. Has she ever won anywhere?

No, he didn't confront him after the race, he threw his gloves ONTO the track DURING the race. That is a whole lot more childish and it is dangerous, even if it was under yellow. BTW, it looked like a block to me, he swerved right into him.

I was just copying the behavior of so many Nascar drivers who throw things like gloves, heat shields and helmets at drivers during yellows. Give me a break. I'm influenced by what I see on TV. Silly Americans! Next time I'll ram the culprit with my car in the pits (if my car is driveable of course). That way I can really make a statement and endanger innocent pit crew members too, not just the random careless pigeon that might be flying by and get hit by one of my gloves.

I think the IRL drivers have been getting calls from the Network:

"Could you please do something to get people to watch? Giving us the fastest, closest and most life-and-limb threatening racing on planet earth just won't do. You gotta really get into it....add some human emotion...like those nascar guys..."

Marco did worse than block Scheckter, he either intentionally or grossly negligently drastically altered his line and made contact with Scheckter's front wing with his rear tire. On a straightaway. He deserved more than a drivethrough. He should be suspended for a race. Or better yet, sent back to the Pro Series for the rest of the season where such stupidity is somewhat less dangerous.

People have been saying far worse about this guy for years. Or did you know they actually raced pre-Danica?

What Marco does looks totally unintentional, unlike what Dan did, and Marco apoligized. I believe Marco. About Scheckter throwing his gloves, It was equally rude as what Danica did. Doesn't he need those anyway?

I thought it was funny that Scott Goodyear said Jon Herb did a "tremendous job qualifying 19th". Of course, he didn't both to tell us that there were only 20 cars in the race. Also liked how the ESPN crawler gave us the results with 18 laps to go.

Terry Blount says 86k...he's a long-time IRL critic, so I'll take his word for it.

It still amazes how there's a single empty seat for that Texas race. And they'll pack the place to watch cabcar drone on there for four hours. Unbelievable...

What? Did she win? Some one forgot to tell Sammy, and Kannan where they finished then.
I do beleive that "Schekter the Wrecker" was one of the names used in previous races. I never said it just over heard in the stands.I did not see Marco's pass but if he said he was sorry he is. Does Tomas do that?

Yes, that's correct. Tomas confronted Marco DURING the race by going to the edge of the track and "tossing" (i.e., THROWING) his gloves at him.
