Tickets for the 37th Annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach go on sale Tuesday. Long Beach's largest event takes place from April 15-17 next year and will again feature the stars of the IZOD IndyCar Series including 2010 champion Dario Franchitti, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Will Power, Danica Patrick and Scott Dixon.

Since absolutely nothing is happening on Pine Ave anymore, they are redesigning the race track so they can use Pine Ave as a straight-away - with Bob Foster acting as a honorary barricade in case some goes off track.

I also heard the city is forcing municipal band leader, Ken 'Laughing All The Way To The Bank' Curtis to be the official flag waver of the Grand Prix.

Somehow the City of Long Beach has to force some more work out of him - earning $50,000 a year to wave a few chopsticks in the air for a few weeks, pretending like that is an important job, just aint cutting it --- cutting the budget that is!
