I cheer for Danica every I am not against women racing. The key word is "pure talent". I think Danica has just that. Sarah would be wise to step out of the car, form a team, and hire a driver. Milka Duno,(or whatever), should just forget the IRL before she gets run over and causes a disaster. JMO.

Mr. Cavin just might be wrong about Kanaan winning Chicagoland. But, that was a long time ago, and I forget stuff.

Fisher is cute and has curb appeal but is a 2nd rate driver. Start her own team because nobody will hire her? Hmmmmmmmmm..That sure would be a good investment. NOT!!!!!!!!!! The prrof is in the pudding.
Sara, get a real job. We can't always live our dream! Ypu are going to push too hard one day and get somebody killed, other than yourself.

Great, another team to be paid for by Tony George.

Sarah, you are a sweetheart. I admire your determination. I just don't see you any more competetive by starting your own team.

Does my memory serve me correctly when I remember that years ago, Jacques Villeneuve made some comment about racing Indy cars in a circle was not real racing?

If I'm right on that, then someone needs to sit him down with a big old plate of crow for now racing stock cars and trucks.

If I'm worng...nevermind, just old age hitting the memory banks...again.

I recall a comment (Al Unser Jr.?) where he said he and another fellow were heading into turn 1 together and they knew there was only room for one, and he wasn'r going to back off and the other guy wasn't going to back off. That, IMO, is racing.

I was happy to Sarah return, but disappointed at her performance. Lik eothers, left wondering if it was her, her team or a combo.

I hope to see her back and with a team that can give her the equipment she needs to be competitive.

Example, look at AJ4, He scared me half to death when running for AJ, always a backmarker. Now he's putting in some better performances with a different team. Watching AJ's team performances shows if you aren't willing to put in the research and money, you aren't going to have a competitive driver/team.

I think we need to see what Sarah can do in a real top quality car. Before Penske, Ganassi, and AGR, she had some very good runs with sub par equipment. Danica struggled with RL racing two years ago due to equipment disparities. I agree with the comment about AJ4 that his performance from perpetual backmarker to a driver that was able to get mid pack (4th - 10th) in most races is partially due to quality equipment.

Go for it Sarah.....there are fans out here wanting to see you succeed and will support your sponsers......OH by the way, I think the marketing guys at AAMCO have an unpolished jewel that with a little $ and good marketing focused at the right womens segments could become a major polished Gem. I don't think they used the natural marketing towards women Sarah provides to pull them to the sport and support the sponser to maximize their investment.

Sarah Fisher has one of the most marketable personalties in motorsports. Contrary to some of the uninformed and bitter opinions expressed on this board, the IRL would take yet another big hit if she isn't on the grid next year. And if Tony writes the check so be it. He created the IRL and must live with his decisions.

If you would put Sarah and Whanica Patrick in equal cars all Whanica would see is Sarahs back two tires.

First, the IRL isn't the only organization who helps with funding. NASCAR does it too, don't kid yourself.'Nuff said. Let's stop beating that dead horse.

As for Sarah, she was poorly managed and used up by Walker Racing, who brought her to the IRL, certainly before she was remotely ready. A year or two in an IPS car would have done wonders for her, except that IPS did not exist at the time. Despite outside appearances, she did not have top notch managing, coaching, engineers or cars and she suffered for it. As a result, her full development potential may never be realized.

Likely many others, the open wheel experience she had did not readily translate to Indy cars. She was also very immature. That's not a knock, just a fact. Sarah would be the first one to admit that.

Danica was brought along properly from the beginning and provided with top notch support and equipment. Like Sarah, Danica is still a work in progress. She has a chance to be really, really good. I'm suggesting that we cut Sarah some slack and see what the future holds. Perhaps she might be better off in the role of car owner. D&RR has done the best they can with the resources at their disposal.

There have always been field fillers and this is true in NASCAR and other series also. It's a fact.
