Hey, RM...I read Miller's column on speetv.com too. He certainly pulled no punches, as per usual. Here's a USA Today article on her from a couple days ago. I don't know...who's to say that a Milka Duno is any less qualified than a Ryan Briscoe, AJ IV or Katherine Legge? Miller may be right...but he also said Marco couldn't drive...

No Mike, just trying to be clever. The real Robin was actually quite critical of Milka Duna's quick ascension to Indy cars. She may be talented, but she's being thrown into the deep end too soon. Hopefully she won't hurt herself or anyone else. Miller's take is that people (IMS, Citgo, owners) are trying to use her for publicity reasons to try to recover some lost fans/TV ratings. It seemed to work for Danica.

I don't care how well she can drive. That chick is hot. She will fill some seats and that is why the IRL wants her. She is better looking than Danica whats her name ever thought about being.

Granted, Robin himself was a frustrated midget racer, so I honestly believe there was always a hint of jealousy when he'd critique drivers. Problem is, he was right 90% of the time. Marco is little more than Kevin Cogan to me right now, he's got a lot to prove. Sure, he has the Andretti whining and finger pointing down cold. Appearances aside, Milka Duno has a huge task ahead of her, and the cynic in me sees her struggling mightily, but qualifying in the last row.

well I first must say I am not an avid indy car fan, and I don't know much about the sport. I just got back from the 500 and I must say I was a little interested to see how well the female drivers were going to do. I was listening to a scanner and I could not help tuning into Milka Duna's signal. Ok first lets say it, she is beautiful, and here native tongue is very intoxicating, but here crew was literaly talker around the track. I mean if you were listening they made it sound like it was her first time in a car. It was bad, she got flaged for running to fast in the pit, and then shortly after that she bit the wall. It just sounds to me like she had no buisness on the track. It make for a dangerous race when you have indy drivers ed. 101 going on during a race where the average speed was 218 mph.
