IndyCar removes Barnhart from race control
The IndyCar Series officially removed Brian Barnhart as head of race control Wednesday after a controversial season in which drivers publicly questioned his decisions.

They should fire both Barnhart and Bernard for allowing the race the way it was at Las Vegas. They were stupid, and now a great man is dead. I hope they never have another peaceful nights sleep again. If I could tell them that to their face, I WOULD!

Strong words. But I agree. It was a racing accident. But one that could have been avoided given more responsible set up at race. Way Too many cars, way too many rookie drivers, freshly paved track..........

I'll really miss seeing fat Barnhardt "explain" the four laps of qualifying to each driver at Indy (i.e. getting his fat mug on TV) and shaking their hand before they go out....what a bunch of nonsense!
..now, make sure you turn left and try to go fast...
