They are not going to give up on him. According to McClatchy newspapers, even though he and his sister were acquitted in 2009 and he paid the IRS a 5 million tax payment, the IRS refuses to recognize the payment and claims Helio still owes $3.5 million in taxes and #2.66 million in fraud penalties. I think all of this has hit Helio fiancially as he sold his Coral Gables home and is now renting an apartment in Fort Lauderdale.
Maybe he should just relocate to another country and only race in countries other the US.
IRS is going after Helio again!
