Wow a race through the corn fields of Iowa, how exciting should that be. I can't wait to hear about this race, not only do they only turn left the track is so small there aren't any straight aways. I am so shocked that this is a Crusty Wallace designed track. How boring.

Then don't watch it. I don't care for hip hop but I'm not going out of my way to bash it.

Danica may be cute to some , but I've talked to a FEW people who have met her & got the same response from all of them , nothing but a spoiled little *****...therefore I hope the whole field gets in her way & then maybe Dan Wheldon will nudge her from behind in the process of lapping her & send her spinning of the track as this will get some more drama going for the IRL which is what it needs.Thats what got nascar where it is , the drama...& I know , she's new & not very competetive yet but...GOT MILKA....easy on the eyes.maybe she'll get tangled up with Danica & we'll see a catfight after the race....entertainment

^^^you need your eyes checked. that's a fugly woman. Now I have nothing against unattractive women, only when they are being pimped as something they are not, which describes the two hoebags in gIRL. Now Sarah, that's a sweet girl.

gIRL -> the g stands for gimmick

well ,sorry if you see it that way ,I've hearsd a few say that they thought Sarah was "nice" looking (quote) but heard many more having the HOTS for Danica or Milka , although like I earlier posted , Danicas personality just ruins it for me & European & S.American just do it for some & I guess I'd be one...The old cliche about beauty & the eye of??? Like I said sorry if its not 4 you

Guys, guys. Quite worrying about appearances! First, Danica can be a little testy, true, but has the most talent of the 3, and WILL eventually win a race. Milka just needs to get off the track--kind of an obstacle to get around only (10mph slower than the field!!). Sarah has never had a car that would GIVE her a chance, would be nice to see how she did if she had one.

us guys are always gonna mention appearance ,&your right Milka is slow but I believe she also has Sarahs problem as well, shes not with a top teir team either and in the IRL , unless your with one of the top 3-4 teams, your only hope of winning a race is a massive crash up front...good day

I was at Iowa Speedway last year for the opening (midgets, sprints, and silver crown cars) and it is one nice track. Plenty of banking and good configuration. Drivers love it and the IRL should put on a pretty good show out there. Town is decent with hotels/restaurants and the locals are friendly. I'm not a Rusty fan but he did a good job on this. Top notch facility all the way around from track to garage area to fan amenities.

I'd love to see this race in-person. It's probably quite a sight to see big-league open-wheel machines on a small track like that. I'm sure they just eat it up.

I'm still recovering, though, from my drive home from Milwaukee a few Sunday nights ago. I still have nightmares...

Actually the opening was the hooter cars on Friday night but we didn't get there in time since we didn't run until Saturday.

I didn't know the track was that short, I thought it was another of those 1.5-mile cookie cutters, so I'm intrigued. Indy cars in what amounts to a high-banked bullring (at least at the speeds they are going) should be fun to watch.

What's even cooler is the banking isn't that extreme. They say no more than 14 degrees. That's an open wheel track.

Yes...your local ABC affiliate. Indy cars actually on Network...what a novel idea...
