NASCAB is a great place to retire from racing. There you can pick up your script from the director and drive around in circles for a paycheck.
Can't blame former race car dirvers for picking up some change in their later years.
Can't wait to see who picks up some great seats in a REAL racing series.

NASCAB is where old drivers go when the fight is all gone out of them.

I hope it is more exciting to drive than watch, because it sure is boring.

It ain't Tony Kool-Aid. Indy makes the drivers not the other way around.

Sports go through cycles.

What was the NBA before Magic, Larry Bird & MJ? Pretty down.

Hockey was down before Gretzky.

Indycar will be back - to the point it was in the 60's/70's? Probably not. When CART either folds or runs exclusively in Europe then Indycar will have an upswing.

btw, Bernie may not support Indycar, but he won't put up with CART hanging around his backyard.

how many Old overrated drivers does NECKCAR have ???

NECKCAR Cup:
Jeff Burton age 40
Booby Labonte age 43
Dale Jarett age 50
Sterling Marlin age 50
Kyle Petty age 47

NECKCAR George W.Bush Series:
Mike Wallace age 48
Dave Blaney age 45
Ward Burton age 46
Steve Grisson age 44
Morgan Shepard age 67 !

NasTruck:(sposnored by AARP?)
Mike Bliss age 42
Mike Skinner age 50
Ted Musgrave age 51
Ken Schrader age 52
Johnny Benson age 44
Todd Bodine age 43
Rick Crawford age 49
Ron Hornaday age 49
Jack Sprague age 43
Dennis Setzer age 47
Derrike Cope age 48

no wonder the ratings and attendence is declining. instead of giving the twenty-something drivers rides Nascrap is keeping old cab drivers employed.

JJJ= SHEEPOPLE. Please try to think for yourself and not be a pop culture puppet. NASCAB is TV entertainment based on motorsport. All DRAMA and no substance. Perfect for short attention span lemmings.
Try some real motorsports and you may like it.

JJJ aka the lurker likes to rant every now and then. He seems to hate everything but CCWS. He is mad at Tony George for some bathroom incident I think. Just ignore him. His mom will pull the plug on him sooner or later.

I don't know where this reporter is getting his stuff. Hornish did say NASCAR was an option, but every time people have asked him about NASCAR in the last few weeks, he has said the same thing. He will stay in Indy Car and will run the Daytona 500, the Brickyard, and maybe a few other races.

You all are mising the point here. At the rate we are loosing drivers we will be lucky to field enough cars/drivers for the Indy 500 let alone a full IRL season.

I don't blame these guys for going to NASCAR. More money, more races, a unified group unlike Indy Car and the IRL.

If this keep up some of the IRL's top drivers will be people like Sarah Fisher. WON'T THAT BE FUN TO WATCH !!!

Tony.....PLEASE WAKE UP AND DO SOMETHING !!!!!

Buddy was 5th in the 2005 500, driving junk. His 'on-track' time in 2000 was reported to be shorter than Montoya's. He also had the fastest lap that race.

The part I don't get is these guys are going from front running teams to mid-pack or worse teams. Penske and Ganassi are big names, but not powerhouses in NASCAR. Small chance of winning and 'top 10 finishes' don't count in my book. Racers want to race, but racers want at least a shot at winning.

It is a sad day when an Indy 500 Winner has to retire to a "hide in a cage" series that is as fake as the WWE. Late race cautions that stage the finish. What a joke. To bad this champions had to end their careers in billy bob country. Getter done Buddy, Dario, Jaque and the rest.

NASCAR may suck but that's where the money and rides are! You kool-aid drinkers only have 1 person to blame and it's not Chump Car. They didn't go off on their own and start some new race series and split up open wheel racing. Chump Car didn't fill the Indy 500 field with unknown and un-qualified drivers and claim the drivers were just as good. They didn't come out with new spec series equipment that where cheaper and dangerous to the drivers. Ask Davey Jones or how Sam got in that wheel chair. Chump Car didn't virtually eliminate attendance and cut the number of days for practice at Indy. They didn't virtually eliminate attendance, flip flop back and forth on the number of qualifying days, and then completely change the qualifying procedure to rig it for better attendance and TV ratings. A qualifying procedure mind you that had worked for 50 year or more and had cost many a driver's life just trying to get into the race because he only had 3 shots. Chump Car didn't change the start time of the 500 for better TV ratings and therefore eliminate the posibility that drivers could try and do "the double". Of course we know which race is the most important because nobody has give up running the NASCAR race at Charlotte for running the Indy 500. The only person who did all of that was the kool-aid prophet Tony George. OH WHAT A VISION! Keep drinking it. Bye bye Open Wheelers!!!

Do You EVER Get Tired Of Crying???

You're breaking my heart with your ever constant whining. You need some cheese to go with that whine lurker? Or maybe just a bigger towel to cry in. Even the CCWS faithful are getting embarrassed by you.

Please do us all a HUGE favor and go back to looking at porn.

Looking ahead (which is always good) we will continue to see that driving Indycars is a young and fit person's game. As the ride opportunities and money find their way back to this ultimate motor sport you will see the playing field between it and stock cars slowly but surely even out. This is a inevitability; it will take some more time, but we will see it.

maybe with some of these guys converting to NASCAR, Danica can quit whining about them.
