Had a buddy in the service that was from Oklahoma. His brother was a bull rider. I met him a couple of times - scared the bejesus out of me. The guy was like not right in the head. Used to carry a loaded .45 around in his waisteband and drink Jack like it was bottled water. He was always walking around with a horn or two growing out of his head and and arm sling.

Actually, these guys really take a beating...by the end of the season, in Las Vegas....you can see how slowly they get up off the ground, and how they limp and wince with every step....like dislocating your shoulder 6 times in 8 months, then roping that hand to a 2000 pound freightrain, twice a night....not many humans can or would take that punishment.....

Haha! I love it when I shake them loose and they land hard, then maybe I gore them a little bit. Once I got one over a barrel and rode his back for a while! He never walked right again.

They must have cahonies, those bulls are big f*****s.
Toughest guy I ever met was a pro rugby player from Ireland. The guy was only 6 foot tall, but he was 6-foot wide as well, drank whiskey like water, and had a favorite past-time was fighting. Had no front teeth, had the IQ of a gnat, and only talked rugby. But he was a tough bugger. I don't think he'd ride a bull, but he'd certainly fight one.

I should point out to you...that though i am a fan of the PBR....i am not a bigfan of some of the rest of the rodeos, as we went often, when i was younger and i can vividly recall seeing a calf killed once and broncs and bulls being ripped open on their sides from too much spurring by the contestants.....PBR is quite different, because the stock contractors protect their investments and those top bulls are often worth $50-$200,000 each....i just don't like any animal abuse...

Daily Horoscope for May 19

Pisces

Happily, the atmosphere starts to lighten today, leading to a much more comfortable time. You'll also find it easy to get on well with other people, which will come as a big relief. You may even be able to make amends for what happened yesterday and reach some sort of agreement at long last. If you're going to a social event you'll have a really good time.
