Full story: El Paso Times

Dede Rogers, who owned an open-wheel racing team, sits in her West Side home surrounded by memorabilia including a photograph of the car that was driven by Ayrton Senna, three-time Formula One world champion, and a suit worn by Joey Hand who raced for Rogers and was instrumental in her winning the Owner of the Year Award in 2003.

I worked for the Toyota Atlantic Championship from 2000-2002 and then for Dede and DSTP in 2003, the final year.

I consider those four years the happiest of my life getting to do something you love and calling it a job.

Dede was one of the people that made that job fun. To the drivers that went on to greatness to her employees that worked for her, everybody should have been so lucky to work for an owner like Dede.

Those that sit here and take anonymous pop shots at her have no idea of her efforts as an owner.

I just ran across this article, and I would like to say I used to be a supplier to DeDe and her DSTP team and found them to be one of the most professional and down to earth group of people. It was refreshing to deal with someone who understood what racing should be and not subscribe to what it has become. It was always my pleasure to embroider the "cherub with the checkered flag" in memory of her brother Mac on the uniforms we manufactured for them.
