Dana in my opinion may never win any race because she is a good driver and not a good racer.

This is a dangerous and negative rule change in my opinion

Yea Grim Reaper you are correct, but fuel strategy is part of racing. The INDY it's self has been won 16 times(from INDY 500 wins on the INDY site) on fuel mileage...... so your point is lost

The race starts 3 wide... if they can handle that, they should be able to handle 2 wide. They're professional drivers and they should know the limits of their car and have respect for other drivers. NASCAR has done for years, so if these open wheelers have the skill we credit them for having, they should be capable of learning to avoid mishaps.

Gonna be interesting to see the ones that fail, though.

I agree with this post. If they are so worried about how this is going to affect their racing, maybe they should just use their heads on the start and deal with it. I would imagine this is being done so someone can't get a jump on the field and run away.

It's a good move.

Formula One has been doing this for decades. No big deal, at least not a big deal if they don't screw up.

Very little talent? As opposed to the many that never qualified for the race? How about the many that never finish the race. She's finished in the top ten 5 out of 6 years at Indy. She has enough talent to compete on a level playing field and for several years has been the leading American in point race for the season. She may not be the most talented in the field, but she has far more talent than many.

When the folks from the trailor park are no longer enthralled with shiney, bright cars going in those circles.

How about that Pippa Mann? She came onto Twitter with a profile pic that is as bright as a sunrise, and she's so cool and funny... just super excited to be in the 500 and she actually survived all the restart chaos! I gotta say Im impressed! lol
