Just the fast that you included...."If we get an effing job...." tells me that you are not disabled, and that you are a pitiful troll.

At a minimum, able to get an "effing job" and would simply prefer not to.

I've got a severe back problem that restricts my physical abilities and suppose I could in a sense be considered disabled...but that doesn't prevent me from working in another capacity.

Many work through the pain every day, because they want a better life than a limited gvmt check could give them.
If I didn't go to work every day that I didn't feel well, I would NEVER go to work.
Pity the truly unfortunate that are trapped by bodies that are TRULY disabled, and never had that chance to climb the ladder.
Makes the "play-disabled" look like the POS they really are.

You are Ridiculous... I have a college degree, single parent of 3, layed off and applied for food stamps - they still haven't come. My family will not have thanksgiving dinner, it will be the same mac & cheese or eggs as it has been for the last week. I am not a gimme person, I am an educated, hard working, responsible person. And you are an Idiot! How dare you even think there is no one "in need" out there.

No one said there is no-one in need out there. Sometimes you can pull aside the ones that choose living on hand-outs by the things they say, such as "If I got a job, I would lose my government check".
I got laid off too, after 6 years on a good job. I am working a job that pays half of what it did and is a big step back, but I choose to do that rather than draw unemployment. There's people that actually need it. Unfortunately, a lot of it is sucked by those who just take it because they feel entitled.
Sorry for your situation, I sincerely hope it gets better soon.

#1) "Two kids by same father"......where's he at? Any support?
#2) From the looks of your post, you are probably a union idiot applying at jobs with unrealistic salary expectations.
#3) If #2 doesn't apply, I hope to hell you are having your resume' spell-checked.

"Entitled" is a big word! I think too many people think that they are entitled!! Get a damn job!! I stand by and watch at the grocery all the time and watch "entitled" people buying gormet food with thier ebt cards all of the time. I'm sick of it!! Get a damn job! This family has worked for everything it has!! No one is entitled to anything!! Go earn it!! This is America!! The land of opportunity not a Socialists State!! Go earn people!!

So what if they buy "gourmet" food with their EBT card. They get a certain amount for the month and maybe that "gourmet" food is their one splurge and they know they will have to cut back in other areas to be able to afford that.

Splurging with my tax money is abuse of the system designed to sustain those that can't sustain themselves, and limiting resources for those that actually need assistance...we're back to unjustified sense of entitlement.

I also love standing in line at Gas America and watching someone purchase 2 dozen Twinkies with thier EBT card... Paying 3 times what a grocery store would charge. Just purely being lazy!! My tax dollars hard at work!! And yes I have actually seen this!!

See you Mayor Brainard house, for a FREE
Thanksgiving meal. A small fee of $300.00
will be charged for Brainard's re-election
in 2011.

The CARMEL FOUR will sing for you at
Brainard's house.

I guess you are one of the ones I have seen in line at walmart buying shrimp and Tbones with EBT. And if not, I guess you have never had to work really hard to earn your own way. If people truly try and use the system correctly I have no problems with it... But, people who abuse it, I cannot respect.

Every man, woman and child in this country is entitled to a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner. Our government should give vouchers to make it fair. You could put vouchers together and use them at the grocery store to buy the necessary items or redeem individual vouchers at dinners like mentioned in the artical for a free dinner.
Entitled!!! Thats whats wrong with this county.Everybody thinks the government owes them.Maybe if you had your ass in Iran fighting then you would be entitled.
