Let's see...how is he suffering? 1. The man lost an eye 2. he will not have the opportunity to be with his kids either 3. prison is a far worst place to be than death. The anticipation of death is far worst than death itself. Do we really know where Scoey went? NOOOOOOOOOO. I know how it feels to lose someone that you love. I know about the anger, the frustration, the confusion...but in essence we still do not know why this has happened. Yes, despite what people think, that man is suffering too. I am by no means excusing what transpired but let them be. Furthemore, a mental death is worst than the actual physical one...have you ever been in jail for as long as he is going to be...exactly. Go ahead and marinate on that for a minute...

<quoted text>Certain situation? Your right we don't know what we might do in a certain situation. I have felt my fair share of anger but golly gee i just never felt like killing an unarmed man before. Maybe that's just me though. How is he suffering? Love to hear about it. Please, do fill us in.

First of all, he didnt have his eye when it happened, if he was suffering so bad cause of that he should have been at home. Nothing is worse than dying, you want to know who is suffering, come with me and the kids to the cemetary, thats where we go to see Scoey, atleast his kids get to actually see and talk to him. Yeah he is behind bars for a long time, and his kids, and Katie have to deal with that, but who made that choice??? It was proven in court, and even said by the judge, he didnt have to kill him, he could have stopped, Scoey was down on his knees with his hands in the air when Marques turned back around and shot him in the head. Why wasnt he thinkin of his family then????? So he does deserve to suffer!! He was once a friend, even after him and Scoey fell out, what he did was wrong, VERY WRONG!! He didnt want to hurt Scoey he wanted to kill him, and thats what he did and now he will pay for it. In my eyes he got off easy!! So next time you want to say we are all angry, and thats why we are filled with hate, maybe you should check out the court records and find out what all of us that were there had to find out, you might feel different.

Heather glad to hear from you. Your posts seem to read that you are a little more at ease now. How are the children? Hope you and them are doing good considering of course.

Sad thing is the mother(s) of Marques children are probably allowing him to see them and that in itself is scarey especially since Marques feels he did no wrong. If I were to take a child to visit any inmate family or friend it would strickly be to send a message to my children. Show them where they end up over pure ignorance.

Good luck in you and the children's future endeavors and good luck to the children of the savage killer in this case.

I am so glad to hear jusice as finally served, all except for that fact that marquis gets to keep his lie. I am a beliver as to do unto others as you wish done to yourself.... I think they should have taken him into a parking lot and shot him until he was on his hands begging him to stop and then went ahead and finished him like he did scoey, but thats ok because he will die a slow painful life in prion where he will stay for the rest of his days..

Oh, poor Van Wiesel. He had a menacing record miles long & he was prone to violence. Hell, just months before all this, he had gotten into a domestic despute w/his stripper where he had attempted to tie & gag her while beating her. Yea, sweet guy. A real stand up gentleman that one.
@ least his biological son won't have to grow up learning how to tie up someone & beat them.
He wasn't a stand up model citizen. Yes, everyone likes to block out how the person truly was & "only remember the good times" but he was no saint. To paint him that direction is to live in a fantasied world. Some of you can be delusional all you want.
From what I hear around the neighborhood, the mother of his kids takes the kids to see him from time to time as I think she should. His wrong-doing is not her or the kid's cross to bear, it's his.
Parenting is what both mothers have to do without their children's father present & I'm sure it's rough on the both of them. I would expect it to be. But both females seem to be survivors & I'm sure, the kids will come out just fine w/out their dads.
Heather can cry on the forum & anywhere else it will still find her sympathy. Looks like she's good @ putting herself anywhere where it will get her attention over this event. I wonder if it's because Scoey's mom treats the stripper bitch better than the mother of some of Scoey's kids...

He is filing an appeal in hopes to get out. His odds are against him. He believes he was just defending himself against an unarmed man. His children see him almost every week. They have little idea of why their father is in prison, but they are smart enough to start putting the pieces together soon enough. He dodges his own children's inquiries the same way he dodged the questions in court.

i hope he never gets his punk ass out of jail. If he was really defending himself he would have put the gun down n handled it with his hands

Really wish you people would get your facts straight before you go running your mouth. Its really pathetic. You know nothing. You try to make him look bad to make what Marques did ok?? Is that it! That just shows us how fucked up you are! I dont need anyone attention, the only attention I need, I get. As for me and Scoeys mom, we actually talk all the time, and I really dont care how she treats me, or anyone else. Not really a main concern in my life. Its just fucked up too me how you can remark on how scoey was such a bad guy, Ive known him most of my life, and no matter what you people say, we all know the truth. Scoey was a good guy, and half of what you say is not true. Oh yeah you love to throw the biological word in there dont you, Scoey had two sons, wheather biological or not it really is none of your business. Does it bother people that bad that they just have to make sure we all know??? We all do things in our life that arent always right, and have the records to prove it, that doesnt mean we deserve to be tracked down and shot!

With the 4th anniversary of ur death coming up I just wanna say I still miss u like crazy Scoey!
Heather - I don't know u, but I hope u & the kids are doing well. I lost my father at a young age as well so I know the pain they feel & I wouldn't wish that pain on my worst enemy. Just know that they will survive & will be stronger for what they went through.

I'd like to say, almost six years later, I still think of my friend often. We refer to him as the Golden Boy. He certainly was all that and then some. I'm so happy he touched so many lives. Losing Scoey was the real reason why I found my spirituality and had I not done that, I couldn't be confident that he is in such a better place. Where he really shines- I can only hope and pray that others who are suffering from his absence are able to communicate with him in spirit as well. The justice system did their job and has continued to deny M.L.'s appeals to the court, based on the facts of the case. Reading back through these posts all that I can say is that; so very much has changed in six years, yet it's still the same! Scoey's memory is living on through all of us, until we are together again. There are some very amazing people on the other side. ONLY the good die young! And for those who said we'd forget about Scoey...well, you obviously didn't know the guy. Much Love to all, especially Denise. <3

We lived by and knew both scoey and marques. And scoey was a good person and a wonderful father. My husband grew up with everybody in that neighborhood but noone looked out for him like scoey did in fact scoey was the one who told us to move out the neighborhood bc my husband n our kids deserved better. So we moved. Scoey still checked on us and wed go see him. But dustin was also friends with marques. But after we moved somethin happen marques changed. He would sit outside our home in his green taurus window driver window rolled down with a gun out n shine the beam into our home. N when dustin was tired of it we went to marques house next door to his moms. Marques said he was tired of everybody in the hood underestimating him. N he also then had an eye patch n said he had tried to shoot scoey and the bullet bounced back and got him in his eye. N we told him stay away we moved to get away from the shit. Marques wouldn't stay away he showed up few days later claimin he wNted to play some madden but when he came inside he held his gun to my forehead and told us wake up. Idk what made him not shoot but it wasn't a week later and while in the hospitL pregnant with twins we saw the tragedy of scoey on the news. Dustin broke he was shitty n called marques mom n she was threatening anyone that came on their street to b ready bc she had an eagle on each knee ready to deal with anybody. But to this day dustin looks at pics and tells stories. He's truly missed. Were alwYs at speedwY n he just sits n cries. Every yr on scoeys bday.were at the cemetary. He's never forgotten and never will b. And marques ur not even worth a thought. We hear how u in jail thinkin ur a rapper n I think its funny. U ain't shit.ur a killer and psycho.ur a lot safer behind bars. Its sick how your mom condones what u did. N wants your daughters angel and mo to b like u. Poor kids don't stand. a chance! But I know some of y'all jnow my husband and he's listened to scoey n has been an amazin family man n appreciates all scoeys done for him.
