Actually, I wouldn't mind some divinity.:-)
Back when I was a child, my Grandmother made Divinity. She started it right after we got all the Christmas Eve dinner dishes finished. She made green and pink. I loved it then. Don't think I would now, too sweet. My mom would sew beautiful long skirts made of velvet that we had picked out at the fabric store in the Meadows. That was before it got bad, in the early 70's. We would wear those skirts, and put out luminary on the sidewalks and make divinity. The best.

What would medical insurance cost for all Americans?
Medical insurance provided by the government is too big a cost, socialized government.

I had a very enjoyable Christmas, too. Just need a few more days off......Of course, attorneys never rest!
Just a question for you. Is it worthwhile to go to school for a paralegal/mediation ? Would I be putting in long hours on the job, just asking. Need to go back to school to better finances. Been home with kids along time. Thought you might have some insight. Thanks

It's good to see that Will Smith was misquoted rather than an idiot.:-)

When I first heard the rumor of what he said, I wondered if it was a remark misinterpreted or taken out of context. I'd like to know what led up to that remark, though. That doesn't strike me as something that just pops up, ya know?

I wouldn't say that staying in a marriage for the kids is necessarily the right thing or the responsible thing to do. At the end of the day, each parent is still a person and deserves the right to be happy. Isn't that one of the main goals in life, to be happy? How happy can someone be staying in marriage where they no longer love the other person and the other person no longer loves them? Talk about a waste of time. You only live once. Don't you want to grow old with someone you're happy with?
I tend to think that once you decide to have kids, you don't get to put yourself first anymore. At least not until the kids are 18.

That said, I think staying together ONLY for the kids is a horrible mistake. Staying together if you hate each other and are fighting constantly is only going to teach your kids how to have completely dysfunctional marriages themselves. It will teach them that fighting all the time, being passive-agressive and miserable is normal.

I wish my parents had divorced. It would have been better than 15 years of living in a war zone.

Staying in a marriage for the kids may seem right until those children are old enough to realize their parents don't love each other. And that's wrong in so many ways.

You're looking at it all wrong. I'm thrilled that stores are saying "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas". I don't want my Christmas holiday wrapped up with the greedy, materialistic frenzy that happens. Please, keep Jesus separate from corporate greed.

Who cares! Health care is not a government function... defense is.
