Can we take a phone in vote to determine if what I did was wrong?

"The way I answered the question was the right answer" Sounds like a teenager talking to his parents when his arse is in a sling and he has no where to turn.

Bye bye sampson, its been nice while it lasted.

the ncaa should act quickly this time, as the dangling coach who doesn't want to be a distraction will only increasingly be one. Does he truly expect us to believe the 2 recruits and a parent would lie? What would the motivation be? On the other hand, are we to believe Kelvin when he has atrack record and a motivation to lie? The ncaa plainly will increase sanctions and then IU will terminate him without worry about lawsuits. If this continues long, the administration will need to take a risk and fire him

It doesn't matter at this point whether he's telling the truth. He looks bad. What does a recruit think when he hears Sampson effectively calling these two recruits liars?

The greater risk might be in not firing him.

I am tired of hearing about this. NCAA needs to act and kill the story. Every day there is something new or actually old news about the same thing. It just keeps getting repeated! Let's play ball and forget about this!

Fire Him.....And now!
IU should have had him at zero tolerance considering his previous isues when it comes to the rules. He has come to IU with negative baggage and is continuing to accumulate more. To keep him around now is setting yourself up for disaster in the coming future. How many calls did he have to make before he realized it was wrong? 99?

With Sampsons track record, please excuse me if I do not believe that he knew he was on a 3 way call 18 TIMES!!!! PLEASE. I was born at night, but not last night. He should have NEVER been hired in the first place when we could have had Pat Knight or Steve Alford

Enough already. What's it gonna take to stop this guy? I think a postseason ban and a year of NCAA imposed ZERO tolerance might get some results.

Sampson simply is a dirtball cheater. Always will be wherever he goes.

I think I have a novel idea. Why don't we try to presume that Samson is not guilty until it is proven that he is. I think the word so far has been investigation. IU has had their say, now the NCAA will have theirs. If they bring the hammer down then and only then should he be severly punished or fired.
I appreciate level-headed people, not the sanctimonious Knight lovers/Samson haters or the Purdue lovers who like to antagonize the IU faithful.
I am not trying to let Samson off, I just want to know the truth. Maybe he committed a minor infraction, maybe what he did was major. In this matter I believe the NCAA will let us know the severity.

Kill the story?! Ha! It's just getting started! Sorry, but as long as this guy is around the story is going to stay the same.

I'm a Purdue fan and overall I don't like it that Sampson tried to gain a recruiting advantage while blatantly ignoring rules, however, I also realize he did not pay them money or due some sort of heinous act, so I have kept things in perspective. I also highly respect Sampson as a Coach given what I have seen of his product at Okla.

Given all of that, the more that I read on this phone call deal, and the more info that becomes available, the slimier I find Coach Sampson and think he should no longer be allowed to Coach in our Big 10 conference. Indiana did not have any type of rules violation for years under Knight and it is defaming to the program that one finds himself above the law and he is quickly turning it into an image of a "bunch of cheaters". I have a large problem with the crap Keady and his staff pulled with Luther Clay, Big Dog and others. To this point Painter has seemed to be the definition of integrity, and that is what I want from my coach on the recruiting trail. Keep up the good work Matt, Kelvin, please fess up or resign.

My wife keeps asking me why Sampson is sill there and it's because they have Final 4 potential with a good upperclass and a stellar one and done recruit. If Indiana eliminated Sampson they'd be throwing away the Big 10. I am hoping if this is still an issue at the end of this season Sampson can be gone and they can give the job to an Indiana guy who to this point appears to not be a cheater. Mr. Alford comes to mind as a native that IU could hang their program with no worries on that.

I would like to 1) Welcome Mr. Zellers to Purdue University. 2) We would both like to thank Mr. Sanctions for helping make the Purdue future a bright one.

Hey what is the NCAA upset about? The one hundred and twenty-some phone calls were at least 10% less than the 144 call average he had the prior 4 years. So he's headed in the right direction!
