Well, I WAS there and considering I was only there for 2 weeks, it wasn't that bad. Now if I had been there for, let's say, 4-5 months like some of the guys.<quoted text>
If you've never been there, then shut up already. I'm sure I'd find it a little hard to put up with some of the shenanigans and cr*p that they (I assume you meant the guards by your "they") probably have to put up with. And I'd probably be a little rude and ill-mannered with some of those prisoners, too.
The food wasn't bad, it wasn't great but I was never hungry, plus one could supplement with commisary. Ramen soups are traded as currency inside. I was able to sleep as much as I wanted whenever I wanted (if I could tolerate the noise). I read everything in sight, didn't get to listen to music other than see Ringo on Rachel Rays' show (awesome!) and didn't get to watch much TV. The biggest problem in there amongst the MANY intelligent people I met in there was boredom. But as I said, I was only there for two weeks and it flew by like a vacation........a sabbatical..........a retreat. HAHA!!!
Every inmate told me that HCJ is much better than MCJ (foodwise).........and let me tell you, the food is the most important thing when you're in jail.
