When you get one of those diseases you just mentioned there is a physical difference in those folks. There are many who dispute the this made up disease. and there IS NO PHYSICAL DIFFERENCE.I think the ones who poison our children for profit are the ones who are going to hell. I don't need a medical degree to read and find out the facts. You might try reading something other than what the pushers are printing

It is amazing to see the people of stupid people on here attacking pharmaceutical companies. Ask yourself where you will be the next you get a headache, an infection or need medication to lower your cholesterol. Of course medication has side effects, nothing in life is perfect. Everything in life has the possibility of something going wrong. If you eat the wrong food, you become overweight and can die of a related disease. If you drive an unsafe car, you can die in an accident. If you hate drug companies so much, try living without their products and see how well you do. Then ask yourself this question, "How would I like it if I invented useful for society and somebody else tried to steal my design and then profit on all of my hard work and money!"

Cathy,

Are you trolling??

I didn't ask that my daughter need Strattera. I would love it if she could control her anger and implusiveness without medication. But the reality is that she can't. Why would I torture her more by denying her the medical treatment that she needs?

BTW, I read too. I've actually found alternative treatments for my kids that the specialists missed. My doctor listens to me and talks with me as an educated adult. We agree that this is the best course of treatment for my daughter. So from my perspective, the only pusher on this message board is you.

Oh, my how awful if Lilly looses a few million. What about the everyday person who can only afford the generic drugs. I have one pill that costs me 90.00 the got a generic and not it's only 32. per month. The very same pill!!! shows you how much the drug compies care about us. There people might not get a new jet this year if we let someone make a generic so we can afford them.
Fine, let the generic drug makers do their own research. If there was a generic for $32 and you still pay $90, It's your problem, not Lilly's.

Cathy, the truth is that if someone is given ADHD meds and they don't need it then you can tell. These meds are like speed to people who do not have this disorder. When you give it to someone who does have it, then they can slow down, pay attention, and control their behavior. My daughter was recently diagnosed with Bipolar on top of her ADHD and the meds she was on was making her Bipolar worse. She is off the ADHD meds while we work on getting her Bipolar under control and then we will start ADHD meds again.

Look up the research from well respected psychiatrists instead of only searching for the fakes. Both of these disorder's are real. They are not diseases that can be cured. Both are life long and meds are needed to control the imbalances in the brain. On the meds they can live normal and happy lifes. Off the meds, their lives are out of control and they end up in jail or worse.

Get off your high horse and go out and find out the real truth! Like I said, until you've lived with the disorder, you can not say it doesn't exist!

There is much more than "Physical Differences" that make up each individual and each disease. The body is made up of complex chemicals that do not show up in a picture or cat scan. Chemical imbalances are real or are you saying diabetes is a figment of someone's imagination? Just because your eyes can't see it does not mean that it does not exist!
I am not the only one saying this. There are Mds who say this a made up diseases. Did you not watch the video where they said there was no physical differences in these folks diagnosed? Only subjective criteria which could be labeled on any child.NO I did not say diabetes is not real.there is test you can do for diabetes. There is no physical test for add or adhd, none zero ,zippo, merely a subjective set of questions, before you drug your child with addictive mind altering drugs .

I'm not on a high horse, I just don't beleve in drugging children into conformity, to make your life less complicated. You are a single parent, I know that is tough, been there, done that. All of the criteria they use to label people with tis made up disease are normal childhood behaviors. I wish the best for you and yours. I hope your child never becomes psychotic, but you are increasing the odds of that by giving Him or her mind altering drugs. It wouldn't hurt you to watch the conference. But you probably don't have the time do you?Much easier do just grab some pills. They even give you bribery payments to drug your kids now don't they? What do they call it ssi?

This story raises an issue that affects us here in the US. In countries that have government-negotiated pharmaceutical prices, if a manufacturer(Lilly) and a national purchasing agency cannot reach an agreed a pricing agreement the country can threaten to manufacture a generic version. This process can lead to increased costs for drugs in the US as companies try to recover the profit lost in these situations.
Yes, but many people in the developing nations have no choice. They simply can't afford to pay for the high priced drugs. So they might die. As a consequence, some nations allow for the manufacture of generic copies. Many lives are saved, and Lilly loses no significant sales.

The pharmacutical industries needs the income from psychotropic drugs for the thought police of the mental health and counseling industy and for the lobbying expenses of the Congressional politician's special project of self interest (Themselves).

Why are you so emotional about this? Stop trying to tell people how to raise their kids. If the meds help, then great for them. Different things work for different people.

If YOU see no benefit, then DONT BUY THEM.

Its as simple as that.
Your argument is similar to those people who keep complaining about the casinos. If you dont like it, fine, then stay away!

Has anyone ever blamed the Pharmacy it's self for expensive meds? Why is there a $20.00 difference from CVS to Walgreens? They are jacking up the prices.

well the problem is when they drug their children a certain percentage are going to become psychotic. Some become homicidal, some become suicidal .You obviously did not check out the link I posted of cases of crazed people on these drugs. Every time I hear about another case of someone chopping up their mom or shooting up their school, invariably they are on these drugs. Not quite the same thing as losing your money.

You don't realise how powerful big pharma is. I do blame the doctors also, but they are just the little guy. It is like catching the guy selling a dime bag instead of the importers. Did you see the conference where the doctor called it in his opinion malpractice? That would take too much time .

The mental health and counseling industry use strong arm tatics by stating that a child is neglected by a parent that refuses to medicate and takes them to court. You just can't walk away from the crime and attrocities being created by the pharmacutical and medical health and counseling industry that easy.. The court is part of the coup d'etat to destabilize America by using its children and providing a threat to families. You should take note that children placed in foster care are psychtropically drugged.
