Hey Elrod, might as well quit. You know you haven't a chance because the Democrats belive that only someone named Carson is allowed to hold that office. They believe it is theirs forever.
I live in the 7th district and I'm here to tell you Carson won't win easy.

I'm pretty sure the voter ID laws are going to severely impact the dem vote from here on out. from what I understand the dems cast hundreds of ghost votes each election and it is pretty much accepted among the masses that the libs took huge liberties with the situation. The welfare district voters don't turn out all that big so my prediciton is that VAILD votes are going to go Elrod's way. Sorry 7th...we've had enough of Carson-oma for a lifetime.
From what you "understand the dems cast hundreds of ghost votes each election and it is pretty much accepted among the masses that the libs took huge liberties with the situation." ?????????

Where in tarnation did you ever get such complete nonsense??

Are you breathing from a different orifice than the rest of mankind?

If any of your idiotic slander were true, the Republicans would have made such a ruckus over it that no one could have avoided truly knowing about it, and the Republicans would have been justified in doing so.

But they didn't do so. Want to know why? Cause it didn't happen.

You are no better than a four year old repeating stories about bogeymen.

I haven't voted Republican for 20 years but this will be the first time. I have no respect for nepotism and giving Julie Carson's grandson the nomination just because of his last name stinks. I will vote for Elrod because I can't stand the Dems anymore

What is it going to take for Indy to be done with the Carson's? Hopefully this election will send the message that we in the 7th are done with political do nothings. Thank god for urban renewal and the return of responsible voting.

Mr. Pollard is Lawyer, Mrs. Mays is a Business Owner, and Mr. White is a Principal??? Dr. King's birthday is Tuesday. Who do you think he would have picked? I am sure it would not have been Carson. African-Americans should be ashamed.

We all know it happens. Why do you think there is such a fight over a simple trip to the BMV for an ID? Obviously, the excuse is "poor people can't afford IDs", but in reality we all what the reason is, b/c that argument is just downright silly... Wake up already!!

I met Mr Elrod during the last week on 2 occasions and was very impressed with his candor and convictions.

He has a great chance.

Keep in mind this district is only 40% Black so even if 100% vote for Carson Elrod could still winl

Elrod will not win because people of color vote for people of color, not issues. Flame me if you will, however an examination of the facts will prove me right.
First, one should never generalize ALL people to a perception one incorrectly has so please do not believe you comment that "people of color vote for people of color, not issues." If your assertion is true, how do you account for the number of people of color who don't support Barack Obama, who did not support Dr. Marvin Scott (Republican) in his run for Congress? Outside of an electoral process many people of color did not and do not support Clarence Thomas but then again, some people of color do; how do you explain that? Suffice it to say Justice Thomas was appointed but a vote is a true indicator of "support" (technically vote means a formal expression of opinion or choice either positive or negative, made by an individual or body of individuals) but for the sake of example I’ll keep his name in the discussion as I make my point.

What about people of color who are not democrat? Do you really believe they cross party lines in order to give support based on color alone, in fact, do you really believe they even cross party lines at all? A quick education: Not ALL people of color and not ALL whites can be categorized as we are all individuals by design therefore we do have the capacity to think for ourselves, race aside. Many people of color just like many other in society do not subscribe to decision-by-color yet we listen to the candidates, we listen to their ideas, we assess their agendas (perceived or implied) and we listen to their debates in order to make educated choices.

The National Prayer Breakfast, The Fellowship Foundation, aka. The Family, aka. The Christian Mafia EXPOSÉ: THE “CHRISTIAN” MAFIA
Where Those Who Now Run the U.S. Government Came From and Where They Are Taking Us
Another pro-Nazi Christian fundamentalist group that arose in the pre-Second World War years was the Moral Rearmament Movement. Its leader was Frank Buchman, a Lutheran minister from Philadelphia. Buchman was a pacifist, but not just any pacifist. He and his colleagues in the United States, Britain, Norway, and South Africa reasoned that war could be avoided if the world would just accept the rise of Hitler and National Socialism and concentrate on stamping out Communism and Socialism. Buchman coordinated his activities with Vereide and his Prayer Breakfast Movement, which, by 1940, had spread its anti-left manifesto and agenda throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Buchman was effusive in his praise for Hitler. He was quoted by William A. H. Birnie of the New York World Telegram,“I thank Heaven for a man like Adolf Hitler, who built a front line of defense against the anti-Christ of Communism.”[1] Buchman also secretly met with Heinrich Himmler, the head of the Gestapo and controller of the concentration camps. Buchman was at Himmler’s side at the 1935 Nazi Party rally in Nuremberg and again at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. The predecessor of Buchman’s Moral Rearmament Group, the Oxford Group, included Moslems, Buddhists, and Hindus. Buchman and Hitler both saw the creation of a one-world religion based largely on Teutonic, Aryan, and other pagan traditions mixed with elements of Christianity. Buchman saw Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism as being compatible with his brand of Christianity. Hitler, too, had an affectation for Islam and Buddhism as witnessed by his support for the Grand Mufti
