I will take a 30 y/o "Young Republican" over an ignorant 33 y/o that believes he is entitled to the throne. Indy has no more room for bleeding hearts! Just like the Democrats to keep taking advantage of a district that votes for someone based on name or race instead of issues. Keep up the good work Detroit...I mean DC....sorry Indy, I was a bit confused as to where I lived.

Congress ought not seat anybody in the special election until the 2006 7th Congressional race is looked into. Its all about the process and our democracy.

Hey Elrod, might as well quit. You know you haven't a chance because the Democrats belive that only someone named Carson is allowed to hold that office. They believe it is theirs forever.

If you judge by looks, what does Andre Carson look like to you? Maybe he looks like you..."a Loser". I'll be at the polls voting for someone with more than a bloodline as his qualifications.

Where are the black candidates, this was a stupid move if the repubs want the seat. Very dumb!

Well, I'm in an anti-incumbent mood still, and I view Andre Carson as an extension of Julia. Looks like I'm voting Rebub this time.

Now that it's down to 2, I feel we would be best represented in Washington by Elrod. Carson would get eaten alive in DC and not represent our interests very well.

In the end, isn't the best representation what we need?

It would be a shame if the election of a member of Congress really came down to the color of one's skin, rather than the content of their character... to quote someone who knew.

Where is Eric Dickerson this election?
He could most likely win this time, he came very close the last time until they counted the votes from Crown Hill Cemetery.

Then look at Andre Carson's photo in the Sunday and Monday paper. What do you call THAT look?

All we an do is pray that Elrod wins. I was one of those doors he knocked at and he was a very nice young man. He took his time and that was nice to see.

Well, 64% of the 7th District voters are white. If you went to IPS, that's more than half.

Elrod will not win because people of color vote for people of color, not issues. Flame me if you will, however an examination of the facts will prove me right.

The Dems had 3 good candidates in Orentlicher, Saunders, and Mays. If they had gone with one of those, I would probably have voted Dem on March 11.

As is, I'm in Elrod's district. I was impressed by the way he won the election over Mahern, and he has been responsive to me as a constituent. I'm going to give the guy a chance as a US Rep.
