I don't go in there. I don't like 'walking the gauntlet'. There are more sales staff waiting for someone to pounce on people coming in than there are customers.

Their salespeople give new meaning to high pressure. The one and only time I went into one of their stores, about 7 or 8 salesmen approached me at once. They must be really getting desperate.

You never experienced 'bad' unless you wandered into a Fretter's (before they folded back in the 80's.

All of the major electronic retail chains are pretty much the same in terms of the quality of service that they provide. There is always a vocal minority of dissatisfied customers who claim that their personal experience makes a specific chain the worst.

Go to ripoffreport.com and look up the top few retailers which come to mind. Walmart, Best Buy, HH Gregg, Radio Shack, Sears, amazon.com , Sears, and Fry's all have an extensive list of complaints.

hhgregg is not as big as the others, so in shear numbers they probably don't have as many complaints. But what sets them apart in my opinion is how blatantly unprofessional they are. I mean threatening physical harm on customers? C'mon!

Just to make a point I searched Google trying to find a Walmart employee who who had been accused of committing sexual assault while on duty. It took me about five seconds to track down Jose Vargas who was arrested and charged of that very crime less than a year ago.

I don't do much shopping in HH Gregg because I've found their prices to be a bit high but of the dozens of times that I have been in the store the employees have been courteous. I don't doubt that an HH Gregg employee threatened a customer. That will happen on occasion when you have entry level employees dealing with an endless stream of of retail customers.

One Walmart employee gets charged with a sex crime and makes hhgregg a better company for that? LOL

In the Chicago area stores especially the one at the HIP all their employees were very rude and threatening. I saw two people get physically pushed out of that store by irate salespeople at the SAME TIME! These people didn't know each other. It was two random cases at once. LOL

There's not one thing to like about this company Their prices are high their employees are rude and they usually don't give you an exchange or refund on a defective item. That's about all that needs to be said.

Their prices are high their service is bad and they don't even let people return items. If the item is not working they'll blame the customer. Anybody who says they've NEVER had a problems in years is full of it and most likely an employee.

I said no such thing. HH Gregg has provided service to millions of customers. Some were so satisfied with the experience that they refuse to shop elsewhere. Others were so turned off that they will never go back. The truth lies somewhere in the middle.

It's ludicrous to suggest that the entire company is the worst because one customer such as yourself saw something that you didn't like.

Care to tell us which location you bought this washer and dryer? Kelly perhaps the next time you hack the account of somebody, you should make sure the rotten companies you back at least have locations where the person lives...blockhead!

You are very stupid and always make blunders to give yourself away. Do you live on Dee Road and are the Park Ridge train station back ups still going all the way to Greenwood Av? LOL

No one person's experience should be the gauge of how good or how bad a company is. But I think you have to admit that two random customers getting physically ejected from the same location at the exact same time because of a company's terrible return policy is not only pretty funny but also very telling.

You never brought up shopping at Aldi at all during this whole discussion. Now suddenly you're a big backer of not only Aldi but all the lousy companies we've been bashing here? Okay whatever you say.
