It's not a matter of kissing governmn boots, it's recognizing the legal parameters. Air travel is not a right; it is a privilege. It has been established that terrorists have means of destroying planes in air using substances that do not show up on standard x-rays and other non-invasive searches. In the name of public safety, that requires more strenuous searches. Airplanes can't just pull over to the side of the road if something goes wrong; if anything, their very nature demands a thorough investigation of potential threats.

I am sick of the whining about being "violated"; you can use the (perfectly safe) scanners or you can be searched by hand. If that makes you uncomfortable, stay home, or use alternate transportation. It's your right to travel; it is not your right to demand that all venues bend to your will.

BTW--just because someone says they are treated insensitively doesn't mean they were. Chances are they just weren't treated like royalty--very sensitive royalty. These agents have to check out THOUSANDS of people a day; there is no time to treat these people like the children they act like.

I realize many of you don't mind kissing government boots stepping on the back of your neck. You're the kind of person that actually licks the boots and brings them to a high shine and looks up and says I love you. They spit in your face anyway. Looks like that Stockholm Syndrome has taken effect for you.
Let's get something else straight, Pete. I Never "GAVE UP" and my rights you sorry SOB sack of crap. I never gave up a damn thing, these sorry SOB's TOOK IT! Just like everything else they do. Come up with more unconstitutional and hogwash crap that destroys or constitution and bill of rights. They set it on fire and then you have the audacity to tell me I gave up rights. I guess I "gave up" my rights too when they passed the UN-Patriot Act?
You couldn't be more wrong! Additionally, it's all over the news and talk radio. The callers call in with report after report of over-the-top, doing your job too well, insensitivity and power tripping. Aside of the outright fondeling and groping. Exposing womens breasts in public and more.
Local DA's are now setting a new standard where they are going to persue and enforce standing laws the same as they would their own officers, a dentist a teacher or anyone else. Nowhere does it say TSA workers are exempt from the same laws that govern regular officers. Search: San Francisco DA will prosecute TSA workers same as anyone else.
People like you Petey, are what's wrong with America.

Follow this logic:

Brandon Johnson = Very Bad. Piland = Very Good.

Connecticut Man/Boy = Very Good. TSA Person = Very Bad.

Anyone who flies these days, knows the hassle (rules) that come with it. The expense and time at the airport is minimal compared to the lost bags, extra charges, poor service, and delays. If renting a car, driving your own, taking a bus or train isn't possible, don't complain! My company quit making employees fly years ago with the invention of the E-conference, E-mail, Powerpoint, E-Video, etc. Get with the times!

First the airport. Then, everywhere else. Where these Police State Gaestapo forces now state, flight or travel is a privlige. It's not, we have a RIGHT to travel in this POS country. We have a right to travel and be secure in our goods. We are SUPPOSED to have 4th amendment rights protecting us from undue search and seizure. We are SUPPOSED to be innocent until proven guilty. Key word, PROVEN.

We are not supposed to be detained either. Detained under a pretense of guilt unless you subject yourself to public humiliation and invasive searches.

And what's the deal with searching laptops without a warrant? Just because I enter an airport, we have no constitution or Bill of rights anymore? Seriously? Now they can just search your laptop? How do they get away with all this???? What the hell does looking for pics of Halle Barry have to do with protecting us from terrorists?

Yes, due to the fact that the airports are now known as Unconstitutional Gaestapo Areas, boycott the industry in general and drive if you can. Avoid the airport and avoid flying, send a message. But it goes further then that. It needs to. America needs to stand up now more than ever. Now is the time! Stand up, wake up America! We are at the gate of Orwell's 1984 with a nice Running Man theme to boot. Stop allowing them to search our laptops without warrants!

For the first time in my life, as an old Boy Scout and all American, I can honestly say, I'm disgusted, I'm sickened and now despise my government and see it as criminal. They are not here for us anymore. It's not, by the people and for the people. Not anymore. It's pathetic what this once great nation has turned into.

Lady Liberty is on her knees, bleeding profusely and mortally wounded. She's dying. I'd say help her! Save her. But you folks ain't going to do anything but roll over and let this police state, no rights society continue.

My fellow Americans, I'm calling you out. Spineless and Weak!

Well you can go suck his sack then Linda ya douche.
Yea I've seen Peterpuffer on here before. And you have no idea how long I've been around. Like that matters ya douche. So, him having been around here awhile somehow makes truth a non-issue? So if someone has been on here longer than 2 years, whatever they say is automatically correct and anyone else is wrong?

You know what Linda, you and Puterpuffer cangofuckyourself!

That's no joke! Our competitor still flies sales reps all over the country, while we sit back and do the E-conference and a little powerpoint. Our sales top them and we keep our expenses low. Flying, at least for business purposes is old-school.

You obviously don't have a job where relationship development over broad distances is important.

Exactly! We sell a quality line of products and services that speak for themselves. No bribing or politics required. Plus our clients are up to date on technology and education levels. Flying for that meeting, luncheon, conference, etc. is old-school.

Next thing you know, anyone who hits a TSA screener will be immediately taken down with M240 Machine gun fire!

With Ron Paul gone from American politics, chances are, the bureaucratic TSA is here to stay. Then again, the TSA is also part of the dictatorous New World Order.
