New teacher evaluation guidelines.
In a couple of years it will be the same old story.

No Child Left Behind and Race to the Top made promises as well.(These big plans came worked out well didn't they?)

If one is smart, they should not go into teaching.
Go ahead and run off all your teachers.
Those charter and online schools are going to skim the money and the good students off the top. Public schools take all students.
the good, the average,(not putting the next ones down) the ones that are not wired right. We take who ever and at what ever level they are at.

Dr. Kathryn Loy Fletcher is a convicted felon teaching child psychology at Ball State. She is having an affair with Misty Cassady. Mrs. Cassady is married to Dr. Jerrell Cassady a Ball State professor. Dr. Fletcher received a raise while on house arrest. She is currently on criminal probation. These two ladies box together on Monday nights at the Fisher's YMCA. They sleep in the same bed together a few nights a week. We can't stop the examples she shows her own kids. We can stop her right to teach bad/criminal ethics at Ball State.

You dig up a 9 month old thread to say this?

Nobody else wants to teach your entitled brats. Let her do it. Unreal.

The post wouldn't be on here if it wasn't true. Also, she would file a lawsuit to protect her good name. Unfortunately for her...the texts, photos, phone logs, emails, and criminal history are public domain. No libel to be found here. Nine months ago she was a criminal, today she is a criminal, and let us all see where she is at nine months from now. She won't be in court proving a libel case. She created these issues. The Governor appointed the Trustees that pay her to be a good teacher. She clearly lacks ethics and judgment to fulfill that duty.

HOME SCHOOL, HOME SCHOOL, HOME SCHOOL!!

People, home school your kids. It's not as hard as it seems. Stop letting these liberal indoctrinators take care of your kids day after day, year after year. By the time you're done with them, they will have EXACTLY as much (if not more) education as they would have if they'd stayed in Public School. Yes, public schooling is 'free' but it's no damn good!

The way they are doing public schooling these days produces children like Adam Lanza...

That's all fine and dandy if you have a husband that works 50 hrs a week and breaks his back at it so you can stay home and not provide anything financially.
Just to sit your fat ass at home and watch opera and Maury while your "homeschooled" kids that have no social independance from there own parents learn from a home computer.
Probably while your blowing the neighbor or the mailman.

I know several families that homeschool and the kids are all socially inept and awkward.
I also dated a very beatiful woman with 5 kids from 3 different daddys. Did that bother me?
Not at all. What bothered me is that once we started talking about marriage she wanted to sit her ass at home and not work. Homeschool the kids and be with them 100% of the time.
Sorry. That's shit ain't happening.

Considering the state is now moving forward with adjuncts this might not be a bad idea. Yep,'licensed' educators are becoming a thing of the past.

I guess it just depends how much a person cares about their child's education. Some obviously do not.

So you want to provide what's best for your children, unless it affects your finances? That sounds a little selfish to me. We dropped a paycheck to homeschool our kids, and you would be hard pressed to consider either of them awkward or socially inept.

That would be because parents these days are not being creative enough to consider just how rewarding and possible it can be to do so.

Here's how to home school kids without 'giving up a paycheck' in a two parent family ... one of you works nights, and one of you works days. If one of you can work part time, even better. You both have something to contribute to the childs learning wether you realize it or not and so many parents underestimate themselves(if you're both smart enough to hold a job, you both have everything you need. Bonus points if you're both college educated). Learning doesn't have to take place between the hours of 7am and 3pm. In fact, there are states where jr high and H/S kkids don't start their public school day til 9am becasue they perform better when allowed to go to bed late and get up later.
Home schooling means involving people you know (relatives/friends, perhaps co-workers) to help you if/when you need someone who might work better with a child struggling with a certain subject. That also introduces some socialization to the mix. If like-minded parents who were doing the same thing could get together and jointly hold 'classes' for multiple home-schooling families, there's even MORE socializing opps. Nobody is suggesting total segregation of the student; there could be years you decide to put the child into reg. pub school, and years you don't.

Furthermore, the failure to properly socialize kids is already happening in our public schools. Parents considering homeschooling would be taking a step up. Not down. The examples you are giving are merely your limited experiences, and in no way reflect accuracy. The few I have met seem competent and ready for life.

so sad....you are wrong and think you are right. Adam Lanza was homeschooled. If he had not been, he would have probably been put in a mental hospital like you are going to be in someday.

Adam Lanza. Socially inept and awkward do to homeschooling.
It wouldn't surprise me if they said he was still breastfeeding prior to him taking a bullet to the brainpan. Had he been institutionalized, he would have had access to his mothers guns.

You mean 'due' to homeschooling?

Fixed that for you.
