Eastside girl, 3, in good condition after gunshot to neck

A three-year-old girl was grazed in the neck by a rifle round fired into an Eastside residence tonight, metropolitan police said.

No amount of police will stop all violence. Nor would Americans want the amount of police that it would take to eliminate all crime.

i have made several complaints about the foster home in that neighborhood...child came home from that foster home on ruckle after 2 months with a purple swollen peeling burning diaper rash, ring worm the size of a walnut, wearing the same outfit that the child was wearing the day the child went into dcs care. terrified to be put into a bed room, so terrified that the child cries until almost breathless. imitating shooting guns at people, and imitating an adult saying "i gonna beat you." i am just waiting for the day to see them on the news at that address talking about a foster child dying in their care, or worse yet, tortured, beaten, or raped there. Wonder what really happened to the child there. wonder why the foster mother leaves foster kids (toddlers) in the home with other punk kids she has in the house while she goes out partying at night. bet she doesnt have a job. just gets paid for locking kids in the bedroom and feeding them once in a while. i cant wait until they catch on to you. i was told that making accusations about what condition the child was in would cause the foster parent to lose her license. to be continued....

I heard this morning on Channel 13 that the police were thinking that this child was aimed at intentionally. Who in their right mind could hold a rifle, position it into the night air, and fire knowing their intended victim was a three year old little girl? Now, I can understand some thug mentality (I was married to one..WAS)aim at the person closest to your enemies heart, but a 3 old?? Come on people, get your shit together and grow up!! No one lives that "thug" lifestyle anymore. That blew out the door a LONG time ago!! Why don't you try educating these children? Why don't you try mentoring someone? Why don't you try to GO BACK TO SCHOOL TO BETTER YOURSELVES!!!

This violence continues on and on. When will it stop?. It has been going on for years and it seems no amount of police is stopping it.

It seems to me a lot of it is drug related but we have been at war with drug pushers, users and suppliers for years.

Is more money needed to combat it?. No dont seem so.

I have been watching Channel 13 since 5am and I didn't hear them say anything about this child being the intended victim. What I heard is a family member thinks a boy, who also lives in the household, was the target. The little girl, unfortunately, was caught up in the mess. This is how rumors get started!!!! You might want to consider getting your facts straight before posting your ideas.
