Whitestown seems to have enough touble taking care of their own little town. I can't emagine how they plan to take care of more. Decent streets and sidewalks would be nice. Right now, you have to dodge the pot holes in the streets as well as the children walking on the streets as you drive through town.

Zionsville Schools enjoy high student test scores amd a good reputation primarily because they have a high percentage of affuent, college educated parents who place importance on their children attending college. Of course developers wish to build homes in that district. The property taxes are high and going higher, but it is not from continuing residential growth. Carmel has proven you can keep the taxes down despite even higher residential growth than Z'ville has ever seen. Z'ville's problem is it hasn't allowed the commercial and industrial growth that pays the taxes needed for the gold-plated schools, fire, library, etc. its residents want. It's also afraid those uses will bring in blue collar workers living in lower-priced homes who may cause their precious test scores to decline. It's easier to have high test scores when you don't have a traditional cross-section of Indiana families and students. But it will cost a lot. Take your pick, Zionsville, but quit whining about it.

I live in Walker Farms in Whitestown and the ONLY reason I would want my kids to go to Zionsville schools is they are ranked some of the best in Indiana. THe only thing that worries me is the attitudes of a lot of the Zionsville people. It reminds me of the reputation that Carmel people have had for quite some time now. I admit that there are a lot of parts of Whitestown that aren't acceptable but not all of WHitestown is like that. There are $300,000 homes one block over from where I live. I shop in Zionsville, I take my kids to the dentist in Zionsville, my husband and I have a doctor in Zionsville and I work in Zionsville.... we just don't live there....C'mon...we all put our pants on one leg at a time the last time I checked.

Listen future whitestown owner why do you seem such a cheerleader for whitestown. You sound like a brat listing things that you don't even know are true in a hurtful manner. And you don't even get your facts right. Listen, since 2008, whitestown made an annexation that went into perry township and into EAGLE TOWNSHIP where the ZCS district is located. This annexation screwed Zionsville by blocking them off from I-65. They put up their signs saying, "Welcome to a Whitestown!" and renamed oak street to Whitetown Parkway. But you said that whitestown doesn't have to do with ZCS at all. Well, whitestown is using ZCHS Schools as their people magnet to get more people to move to whitestown in the Eagle township area where Zionsville Schools are. And to have proof they even say "Four Star Schools" on their town brochere. What a joke! Their using Zionsville Community Schools to get people to move there. And by the way this is all true. They've had a 508% growth rate only in the area in Eagle township: Eagles Nest, and Clark meadows at anson are just a couple of many subdivisions in Eagle township that are the only way that's keeping Whitestown running. So maybe YOU should get the facts right!

Truth...if Whitestown wasn't using Zionsville schools as a selling point for Anson, why do the signs for Anson specifically tout 4-star Zionsville schools...by name? You should stay in Ft. Wayne where you belong.
