Indiana has a wonderful legislature. Itís a classic case of opposites attracting, each one allowing the other to experiment with a totally different lifestyle and viewpoint.

This only creates dysfunctional families and no progress occurs and our children suffer.

Just think, we could take the $3 trillion dollars we have wasted on the war in Iraq and save Social Security and provide health care for everyone. Makes good sense to me.

I detest daylight saving time. It's the only time of year I have to try to convince my body that it isn't actually the time my body KNOWS that it is...take this morning, for instance. I KNOW it isn't 7:45 right now, because I wake up every morning without an alarm clock and now it is supposed to be 6:45: time to get ready for work during the week.

Tomorrow, I'll have to wake up with an alarm clock because my body KNOWS this isn't the time to wake up. It will be mid-summer before my body will adjust. And I don't believe it is better for biz: the whole state isn't even in the same zone!

I lived in Arizona before moving here and was thrilled this state didn't have to go through such nonsense as the rest of its neighboring states; but now you had to go and ruin it. AND you've had it start even earlier in the year. Ridiculous! Add it to the yucky weather you have here and I think Scottsdale is looking better all the time. At least they KNOW what time it is!

Good global warming Sunday to one and all. I see we already have a DST whiner on here this morning. DST starting earlier is a federal mandate not the state. Time was created by man not God. Get over it and for God's sake; grow up and deal.

DST is good for business, no matter what the detractors may keep whining about.

Lee, please show proof that DST has improved business in Indiana. I am not complaining about DST as I happen to like it but honestly I would like to see proof about being good for business.

I did read something that said it actually costs us more because we use more electricity to run air conditioners at a cooler temp longer but have not found anything on how it has brought jobs to Indiana or was good for business.

Who decides when DST starts? This seems way too early in the year and it was still dark out when I got up. I thought the whole idea is to wake up to light. I am not a big fan but could deal with this much better in April.

The Federal goverment decided to move DST earlier for energy savings but seems to be a wash as we are using more electric to run AC at a cooler temp longer. Indiana actually was a test state because we didnt have DST and now we do.

Welcome to DST darkness.

DST is not good for business, and in Indiana, EDT is worse because we are now ALWAYS 3 hours different from the west coast. The growing trend for business today is preference for the central time zone, as there is 1 hour difference from the East Coast, and 2 hours from the west coast better matching up with business hours across our country.

Why are the people who like dark mornings and DST in the Eastern Time Zone always whining about those who voice opinion against it?
