No disrespect to Jill, but I think a dog with a note could get elected this time to the Govenorship. WE MUST CHANGE ALL ELECTED SEATS.

The bottom line is that anyone running against Gov. Mitch Daniels will be elected! We are sick of Mitch and the voters of Indiana (who far outnumber his rich cronies and big business connections) will vote him out in 2008.

Daniels may have created jobs, but how much money has he lost the state by out-sourcing. His mistakes will be far reaching and then its too late to do anything about. Ditch Mitch!

This is a real candidate finally for the Democratic Party. Her resume for this job makes her insanely qualified...far more then the others.

I'm all for change, but this simpleton statement says she doesn't know what she's talking about.

It's supposed to be simple she is just announcing her run for office. Then as her campaign begins the messages, ideas and platforms will have more meat. All campaigns are based around one idea then from there they grow branches.

Interesting how this website headlined Mitch Daniels' re-election announcement for three days, while this announcement gets booted down the site after a few hours.

Does she have a stand on any other issues other than jobs? What about tax relief/cutting the budget, same sex unions, leasing state property,
education abortion etc, etc. If people in NE Indiana didn't want her representing them in Washington why do we want her to be our governor.(other than she isn't Mitch) Electing one buffoon because you don't like the current buffoon doesn't make much sense to me.

So according to the Dem party chair, we're all just supposed to get behind Jill "I-never-met-an-election- I-couldn't-find-a-way-to-lose " Long? Beating Mitch won't be the gimme some on this board seem to think.

She is not a baffoon at all. Those issues will all come out during the campaign, again, like I said earlier, she is not going to lay out her entire agenda at the beginning when she is just saying that she is running. That is all you're supposed to do now. As the primaries go on, issues will come out. Trust me on this one, my minor was in Campaign Communications. Also you cannot trust the rural people of Northeast Indiana who elected that dork Mark Sauder in...who has done NOTHING and they keep doing it because of his stance on abortion. Trust me on that one too, I'm from there.

Absolutely! "Ex-lawmaker" - translation: career politician!
Vote them out!
Vote them ALL out!!
NO MORE CAREER POLITICIANS!!!
Sorry, Jill, that includes you!
This seems a bit silly to me. I would imagine you would want a career politician in office. I wouldn't want a career history teacher to preform my open heart surgery when I could have a career surgeon.

Yeah, I guess that time in congress wasn't a proper platform for her skills. What an idiot. You AND her. I lovedd her statement on the property tax, how it was mitch's fault this happened. This was the result of a court's decision, 5 years ago. Who was governor 5 years ago? Up in ft. wayne they instituted another tax that prevented the property owners from being raped. That was a local government being pro-active when they saw trouble on the horizon. That was leadership in action, something Indianapolis doesn't have under peterson.
