Does anyone know who to contact bout the panhandlers on 38th street and high school road? They are getting way out of hand. Police don't seem to stop them anymore. The older looking lady who has her son pan handle with her had blood running out of her arm an onto her clothing. Upon further observation my son seen her go to a car very quickly. Was flashing her money around an then the man took the money and handed er something. I understand if people have problems and need help everyone has hard times but to be out panhandling just to support a habit is ridiculous and completely uncalled for. Police need to step in once an for all and stop all panhandling on west 38 street between the interstate and moller road. I get bombarded everyday by the same pan handlers going to and from work and it is getting old with a quickness. I thought there were laws about panhandling. But I guess once again because they are all white people it is okay. As a woman of color I am offended by the fact if a black man does it he gets ticketed or arrested but if it be the white people noone had an issue with it and they are allowed to do as they please.

Good luck gettin any1 to do anything. I have reported it in the past. All that gets done is they are given a ticket and have to go to court. They are given just a small slap on the wrist. They need to get real jobs instead of begging hard working people for cash.

Get a life. What is the matter? Are the panhandlers interfering with you working your corner?

Dont like it? Stop being offended by every little thing and move on. This has zero affect on your life. If I want to give money to the panhandlers it is not your business.

It's a scam anyways they are part of a pimping panhandling syndicate , most are drug addicts and are being pimped out, sad to see, yes we have enough abandoned properties the city could fix up and house these people with some type of group home monitoring perhaps.I know for years Muslims use to hangout collecting money but so did our own fire dept with buckets.

There was a man on the southside who was handing a panhandler some money and the guy grabbed his wallet and attacked him also.
I think we need to set up mini homes as I saw in one state they are trying out these modules homeless can stay inside, they come equipped with a sink toilet and folding down cot and they have heat and air con.
I have always handed people in need money or food in what spare change I have. I prefer to give them water or food.
How
about instead of building that new govt headquarters building on the east side at the old gas company site They put that money toward a new mental health insitituion for these people who need the care since they shut down the states two biggest mental health facilities. Hoping these people would seek outpatient care and trust them to do so.
I don't look at all of them as being drug addicts either I know anyone of use is a paycheck or health tragedy from being homeless.

Put your money where your mouth is pissy pants boomer. Start donating. Lol you wont even spring for chicken feed and prefer to dumpster dive so I know you wont be coughing up a dime to help finance this expensive free housing plan. Funny how when the delusional boomer comes up with an idea like this it is not socialism. Ha! The hypocrisy is real. Cognitive dissonance party of 1. Trump trash.

I am not racist just wish everyone was treated the same. There was a man of color panhandling down by walmart he was arrested after he spoke up about the pan handling all over 38th street and highschool road. My whole point is why is it okay for the white folks to do it if it's not ok for people of color to do it? We all bleed the same blood so why in the hell can't law enforcement tighten the reigns on the white people if they intend on doing it to all other races?! Just stating the obvious. And, the ones on highschool and west 38 shouldn't be panhandling. Every single day I see the older lady coming from the hotel on highschool. If they can afford to purchase a room then why should they be allowed to stand out on street corners an beg? There are foo pantries to fulfill their hunger needs they have beds to sleep in at the hotel right by where they fool all of us into believing their sob story. The ONLY reason they are panhandling is for their drug money. To me allowing them I pan handle just puts more drugs in their pockets and it needs to stop. Myself like others are tired of not bein able to walk about with our children because of all the needles these junkies leave laying around. IF YOU GIVE THEN ANYTHING GIVE THEM ALREADY PREPARED FOOD, clothes, blankets.DONT GIVE CASH! All the time they ask for drugs food and money in front of my children. The younger generation is affected by all of this. If you give them money your just feeding into their habits and these streets are never going to be safe. I understand if people are down in their luck but there are jobs in this world. They could go work at mcdonalds if they really wanted to stay off the streets. Any job is better than mooching off of the innocent people in our communities.

Have you tried to clean up the litter? Or just complain?

I will do what I want with the money. I worked for it.

I can not control what other people do with money that I have given them. And how do you know they are buying drugs? Did you follow them home and watch what they do?

Rather give a panhandling bum money than a worthless preacher.
