So in essence you won't mind paying me back the $1.36 I lost last year. Since DST was such a great idea and you support it, then you can pay back the other folks that didn't want this. Think you're only going to spend $20....
I really love it when people like you tell me what is good for my money. Really reassures my faith in the average US citizen.$1 or $1,000,000 its not the amount, it is the principle.

Actually the Feds used energy savings as the excuse to put the whole Nation on DST. Mitch simply said that businessmen were too stupid to keep track of time zones and we had to join the rest of the sheep if we were going to attract them.

It don't believe that DST saves energy, but I do believe Mitch.

Ralph its the intangible savings by being in step with the country that really matters!

That's just electricity. What about the fuel used during that added hour of play time? What about all the extra pollution created? Wouldn't this add up to half a billion dollars Nation wide?

Isn't that a pretty high price to pay for a Federal mandate that doesn't actually work as advertised?

It's much more costly than that...
Shunning DST made Hoosiers Hoosiers,
just like your mit for a map makes Michiganders Michiganders.

You guys do know it didn't actually create any more time right? There's still 24 hours in a day. I have a hard time believing it really cost any extra money anyway. My gas bill actually went down this year, electricity stayed the same, as did water.

Basically what it comes down to is people are just stupid.

The costs don't add up to much unless you're an energy company.....
