How in the world could this guy, multipule times, pick up several TV sets from a store and walk out the front door without someone stopping him? I'm glad they finally stopped him, but seems strange to me!
At the Target I worked at, repeat offenders were rarely stopped because Assets Protection knew they would probably return; and that allowing them to steal more stuff showed a pattern and would be easier to prosecute. The only people that were confronted right away were kids ripping off pokemon cards and people buying meth ingrediants.

Had a friend that worked security at Target. He said they were not to pursue folks that walked out with photos they had not paid for.

So if you want free photos, rip them off from target.

More true than people realize, as there were a few high profile events at other retail stores around the country, where there were confrontations, and injuries. Guess what? Yep, there were lawsuits. Guess what else? Yep, the lawyers, as well as the thieves can be traced back to what you now see.

Ya' know ... people say that "stealing" is not hurting WalMart or Target, etc. and that may be.
But, it does hurt the customer through higher prices to cover the theft!
As far as someone in authority at these stores witnessing these thefts ... I don't think they would do much when "folks is packin'" these days!

So, Jimmy prefers Target over Wal-Mart or K-Mart? At least he has some class.

Mongo, the prosecutor is taxpayer funded. Doesn't cost Target ANYTHING, except the time off for employees to testify. Wise up!
Most corporations are represented by their own lawyers who advise the store personnel during the trial (or hearing). They (the store) must pay for the lawyer and the wages of store personnel to testify.
