We miss them too. They were such a HUGE part of our Relay For Life. It's too bad that they had to move. Riverview's loss. Noblesville's loss. Fort Wayne's gain.

"Joe" - I think you need to find another place to express your obvious frustrations with life in general - nobody here cares.

Can't stand her. Never did. Never will. Pretty much that simple. Still pi$$ed off that she let Jim go. Terrible decision on her part.

Jim,
While I admire what you have written, and know that you are an honest, intelligent quality individual, there is no hiding the fact that you are the scapegoat in this whole situation. We all miss working with you and Tracy, and know that you should still be our CFO. Things are changing around here, there's no doubt about that. Hopefully our next CFO will have at least half the class, intelligence, integrity, and fun that you have.
We miss you! Good luck!
Too bad Jim's replacement has no Class.
Not sure about his intelligence.
Integrity is not in his vocabulary.
Fun? Are you kidding me??? Working at Riverview hasn't been "fun" for a long time.

I don't know anything about this man or Riverview Hospital. But if he's as good as most people on here say I hope he gets hired on at Community North. The leadership here is so bad that patients dying needlessly.

You think Community North is bad?? Take a look at Community East. It is a terrible hopital. One mistake after another. They keep their patients doped up on Morphine so the nurses and techs don't have to get up out of their chair (away from their food) to take care of them. They are plain dirty. It is really scary to think that they are still open.

Glad I don't work at Riverview anymore. Jim's replacement, Larry, is a sexually harassing arrogant piece of work.

Our operating margin was better than the 3.3% that was reported in the IBJ when Jim Porter was our CFO.

I'm glad I'm not a part of the "new" Riverview.

Jim Porter is a fine and decent man. He was a great leader for the financial division at Riverview. He will be missed by those of us who worked with him. He was totally a scapegoat for the hospital not making our budget in 2007. But, let's see, our open heart surgery volume is down the last two years, our surgery volume is down the last two years, our clinical departments are using an information system that they were not ready to use but the IT department forced down their throats in 2006, ready or not. None of that is Porter's fault. He was Pat Fox's sacrificial lamb. Why and how she still has a job is the question. Doctors are leaving Riverview. That's the CEO's responsibility. She's lost Bolin, Friedman, Hayes, Tawil, Trusler and Nelson in the last couple of years, and no new doctors have come in to replace them. No wonder volumes are not at the budgeted levels. The Board of Riverview needs to be looking at her performance.
Our Board of Trustees does not know what they are doing. They're all up in arms about an increase in how much charity care we are providing at Riverview. Aren't we a community hospital? Aren't we supposed to be providing charity care? What do they expect when we open a new emergency room and a new community clinic. Clinics and ERs draw uninsured people who cannot pay their bills. Our charity care increased in 2007, not because of anything Porter did, but because we were seeing more and more people who cannot pay their hospital bills.
I hope he lands at a local hospital, because I, and many others who work here, will go to work for him if he stays in the area. We miss Jim Porter, and wish him well.
Riverview Hospital is not the same since Jim's departure.:(

The Board is still the same.:(
Pat Fox is still the same.:(

And Jim's replacement is a dishonest, unethical, womanizing, seual harassing pig.

I hear Jim is doing well in Fort Wayne. I wish he was working in the Indy market, because I would go to work for him and leave this place in an instant.
