How about Harlow Hickenlooper. At least he could deal with the bunch of clowns we have now.

Yeah..running and having fun...then true colors showed and he got T'd up twice...then watched from the locker room. LOL
The first T was classic Jax. He was not involved in the little shoving match, but he was right over there in the middle of things in a flash!
I am sooooo glad Jack is gone. It was classic, 30 points on one hand, get ejected on the other. Charles Barkley said Jack is the T.O. of basketball. Now Nellie has to field those awkward post game interviews....lol

Carlisle was the fall guy. Somebody had to be. I like the some of the names mentioned here (Van Gundy, Silas....not Iavoroni (the Pacers can't play that style)). I would, however, like to see a new coaching face. Mitchell intrigues me. He was on the hot seat last year and now this year, he is the coach of the year. Players win games, not coaches. The current roster will do good to win 30 games next season. New coach, at least 8 new players...that is the beginning of the healing. I renewed my tickets for next year and will be hoping for the best.....we've already seen the worst....I hope!

Hey, Lakers give up Odom and Bynum, a pick and some bench help for JO and Bender. What do you guys think?

Another good call on the Bobby K's part. We could have used some of that butt kick'in over the past 3 years. But the question I didn't see you ask was when will the President of B-Ball Operations get a strong voice and take a more stiff approach, with both players and coaches? Larry picked RC over Zeke and let the Pacer Ship take on more troubled water than anyone could have imagined, so let's hope that Legend Larry learns to step up more and show some of the Sycamore/Celtic toughness of yester-year in this coming year.

I know more about music than basketball. Would someone please tell me, what is "Small Ball"?
Small ball is when you play a bunch of players who are smaller than their prototypical positions (especially the "big" positions like Center and Power Forward). Don Nelson, coach of the Warriors (and ex-Mavs coach) is famous for his small-ball style. He essentially plays 3 guards and 2 forwards, the bigger of whom plays Center in his system. Right now he's been using 6'9" Al Harrington as Center, a position usually filled by someone closer to 7'0", 250-260 lbs. The theory is that small-ball teams are quicker than traditional lineups and cause the other team to have to change their lineup to compensate.. but it can go both ways.

Bill would be a great choice. I'd put him second on my list behind Stan Van Gundy.

Larry B. should have to coach this mess he put together...when he fails, he should be fired. I feel sorry for Rick C...he will succeed elsewhere!

Dear Bobby Crabby-Atz. If everyone would just read your column all of the sports teams in Indiana would be champions. That would free you to solve ethnic/religious differences, wars, world hunger and create a medical insurance program for all. Why with your astute sagacity I bet you would make a better President than Billary Clinton.
