Open the link and read the article. Put yourself in the shoes of this partially disabled man as he watched this terror unfold in his home. As you do this, keep in mind that all were previously convicted of violent felonies, then ask yourself, "should we release violent felons early for good behavior?" If one acts badly while co-existing with the rest of the world, why do we find it necessary to reward them if they act "nice" when they are among other bad people in prison? I know this father wishes that at least one of the previous multiple arrests of these animals had kept them in prison. Hollywood could not produce a more horrific scene than the one that played out in that house.

We have two problems here. One is there are far to many blacks in prisons today. They have to give time off for good behavior, education and so forth. That or we need more whites to commit crimes so we can even out the prison roles.

The second problem is money. People would not stand for a raise in taxes for more prison space. They would rather be taxed to support sports teams so they can attend the games. They would rather see their tax monies go to millionaires the to keep people like these guys in prisons. But it is ok to pay for reassignment surgery for men in prisons that think of themselves as girls.

I am surprised that they have not pass laws to ban the word Jesus in prison like they have in public schools and government meetings and buildings. You reap what you sow.

Why didn't Jesus protect the Northside family from the intruders?

Was Jesus too busy drinking his wine and playing footsie with Mary Magdalene? Jesus liked the dirty women. And obviously Jesus had a foot fetish.

Crime was even more rampant when religion was in the schools. Fact, not opinion. Crime is down.

Fact, the founders wanted a country where folks could have the freedom to practice their religion. This country was not founded as a Christian nation. If you want the little children (whose butts you wanna smack with glee,David) then according to the tenets of the founders,ya gotta give just as much equal time to Allah in our public schools. I bet you are not gonna fly with that!

Speaking of flying. Don't worry Dave, where you're going, you won't have to worry about damaging any wings. The closest you're gonna get to any wings is BW3.

Btw,I bet when you went to school Jesus was still in the schools. Am I right? But,that didn't stop you from making poor lifestyle choices for which you are paying for today, now did it?

This paragraph should have read:

Fact, the founders wanted a country where folks could have the freedom to practice their religion. This country was not founded as a Christian nation. If you want the little children (whose butts you wanna smack with glee,David) TO SPEND TIME WITHIN THEIR DAY AT SCHOOL FOR RELIGIOUS PRAYER then according to the tenets of the founders,ya gotta give just as much equal time to Allah in our public schools. I bet you are not gonna fly with that!

Now clam down a little. You seem angry. Yes I remember my sixth grade teacher always said a prayer at the start of school every morning. We also had to learn a bible verse each week and recite it in front of the class. It was up to the teachers at that time to decide how much religion to have.

At the start of the year she would always excuse anyone that disagree with the religion taught. They could leave class while any religion was present.

When I was growing up, I can remember people were not afraid of leaving their keys car or leaving their homes unlock. Our parents stayed together for the kids. Today there are more single households then ever before.

If I did make any bad lifetime choices I am not afraid to own up to them.

Ok, so which crime is "down"? The theft of lunchboxes in the workplace? I could see that being true since nobody carries lunchboxes anymore. However, there is no way any of us believe that you have a statistic that says you are safer in your home now than you were even 5 years ago, safer walking a sidewalk in a decent neighborhood, or shopping at a department store. In a way you are using your dislike, and distrust of religion to soften the fact that we are under attack by murderous, guiltless, and ignorant gangs of 17 to 25 year old males. Ironically religion is the first thing the offenders turn to in prison to show that they are rehabilitated.

Sorry David,I call BS.

This is about you. And it's about reliving, analyzing and romanticizing the past. I understand why you're doing this. You're trapped in a vain glorious attempt to absolve all of your past sins. Pointing your finger at everyone and accusing everyone/everything makes you feel better about yourself.

I don't wish to be cruel. But you are filled with hate and spite,so it doesn't bother me to describe your posts as nothing more than the attempts of a feeble mind past its prime trying in vain to rant his way to Heaven. By accusing others of deviance and sin....you think you're absolving your own. It's as transparent as glass. You're just too arrogant and stupid to comprehend it.

DAVIDM: "If I did make any bad lifetime choices I am not afraid to own up to them."

What do you mean "IF"? You just can't admit it.

<quoted text>
For those kids who left class while the rest was having their indoctrination,... how are they getting any kind of reasonable/fair treatment by the school? Either suck up the religion or just go off and no nothing and shuttup until everyone else is done with their little circle-prayer? Seriously? That's a waste of their time that could be much better spent learning something of concrete practicality. It was then, and it's even more so today, when there's so much more material to be learned - not just more history than 50 years ago, but more science, more technology,...

When I was in 5th grade in a small town public school in western IN (and, now that I think of it, I'm pretty sure I remember this happening in 2nd or 3rd grade, too), some organization came to our school to distribute new testaments. Little red or green books. They were put in a box on a table in the front of the room, and everyone could have one free. It was optional, but anyone who didn't queue up in line and take one got stared at, not only by the rest of the class, but by the teachers. And then after, the teachers always remembered who was different. And as one of those very few kids who was different, how was I supposed to believe I was being treated equally to the rest of the kids in the class?

Christians (not all of them, but the ones who keep pressing these matters) can't be trusted to not try to be "more equal" than everyone else.

Your problem is that you think there was hardly any crime years ago. I would say it was probably worse years ago . There was hardly any law back then and people pretty much took and murdered who they wanted to. Just less people and no stats back then. Hell they burned whole towns down back then. All those things took place while churches and school houses were the same building. You just like to exaggerate the facts. Get off the drugs and get mind straightened out. It's clear you are out of reality.

I think Jesus did protect them. They were not murdered. While what they endured might be much worse than death, they survived. Perhaps a higher power was watching over them. And because they did survive they were able to identify the thugs that did this.

LOL! Is that your proof that God does not go in those schools anymore. You're god is a wimp. My God goes in those schools everyday. My God is not a wimpy god like yours. You can't keep my God out of schools. I don't know what your god is. Maybe its the weed you smoke. It's just hilarious to think that you think those pieces of paper keeps God out schools. I knew you were a little delusional but geesh. No way would I want you to teach my kids. I can see it now Kids God is not in the schools and I have the paperwork to prove it. That is just pathetic.
