its about time that he face the music for what he has caused. now it will take all cops a lot of work to gain the trust of the public and that is a shame because many of them are caring people. as for the fop; they threw a bunch of money away on his defense. makes them look foolish. not everyone is fit for the fraternity brotherhood thing. has the insurance carrier paid for the wrecked vehicle that the taxpayers purchased??????

I was glad to hear he was convicted, but I really believe this should have been A felony with at least a 20 year minimum time served component. In Indiana, that would mean a 40 year minimum sentence. What Bisard did was pretty much as bad as it gets. I thought I remembered him picking up additional charges while he was out on bond for these charges. If that's the case, that new DUI will be processed as a D felony and he may get 3 more years for that one. The guy is a narcissist and prison for a long, long time will do him good.

When he spoke to the press there was absolutely no remorse.

I'm sure he thought he would be released so he could drink again...

Good.

That SOB did everything to escape accountability.

3+1/2 years later....IMPD tried pulling out all of the stops even at the last minute by sharing witness testimony.

May he spend the remainder of his life rotting away in prison.

Ballard

IMPD Brass

The FOP

Brizzi

Hawkins

Bisard's friends on the force.

All of those within IMPD who attempted to taint the case to get the drunken miscreant off the hook.

They should all be ashamed. I doubt any of them have a conscience. They probably suffer from an alcohol induced sense of extreme entitlement. Just like Bisard himself.

David Bisard is a proven drunkard.

David Bisard is now a convicted felon.

more than us, the wells family are the ones hit the hardest. money lost is nothing like a lost life. but the mayor and others involved in a potential coverup should learn that the taxpayers are not that stupid to believe the bs that they try to instill is true or fair. i am still curious about the insurance carrier for the city cop cars and who has paid for the wreckage or claims that have been filed while bisard was on duty.

That's true. Republican ex-prosecutor Brizzi was going to let him walk. Republican Mayor Buffoon Ballard said "I caint do nuttin'". Even though Gregory Buffoon Ballard campaigned on public safety and wanted the mayor's office to control IMPD. When push came to shove,Mayor Buffoon Ballard didn't give a damn about public safety and walked away from all matters with respect to keeping a leash on IMPD. Ballard is a liar and opportunist.

Perhaps Ballard, the IMPD Brass, etc genuinely don't care about public safety....but a jury in Fort Wayne certainly did. This jury saw through the BS IMPD attempted to pull off. The science didn't lie. The jury did the right thing.

Basically the case was.....IMPD says the science used regularly by them to convict others is totally flawed. Really. Is it not odd to have a bunch of cops in uniform testifying on behalf of the defendant? Where's the Chief? He must have given his support. Or was he too busy eating a copious amount of large pizza's to even notice?

G*****n David Bisard. And G*****n his enablers within IMPD,Brizzi's PA office, the court system within Marion County, his family and the mayor's office.

Not one of them has apologized to the families of the killed and injured. Because they don't have it in them. They're self absorbed, have a sense of extreme entitlement, boorish, arrogant and intoxicated by their taxpayer paid job-titles within public service. Just like the defendant.

everytime the media shows the wreck and that bunch of liars with bisard the fop buddy, it makes me sick to see the look of nonchalance on the faces of those plotting to hatch the lies for the city leaders and bisard. why would anyone believe an apology now???? i think it would serve the taxpayers well if ballard had to tell the amount of insurance it costs to maintain all of the cop cars, and if insurance covered the cars that bisard wrecked. i bet we have paid for the offense.

Wrong. Bisard was a democrat, which is not surprising given his entitlement attitude. The entire FOP has shifted from republican to democrat in the last 5 years. This makes sense because democrats prefer spending maximum resources to fund corrupt government employees and agencies such as IMPD. It was only a matter of time until the police figured this out and pursued what they view as the easy money. Not only that, but the trendy thing to do in recent years is to blindly support democrats without understanding the effects. Some of you are starting to see the results in your healthcare plans for 2014. ;)
