I use to love going to Riverside Amusement Park. It was in a black neighborhood, but they would not let blacks in. It was so funny driving in and makin faces at the rejected blackest when I was a kid. It was cool that the owner closed the place rather Than integrated!

Yes. Southside. It was like a triangle of places to cruise on 31, but I can't remember the other places. What did you drive? Remember Al Green's? And the tenderloins. The drive-in theater on Shadeland right by the railroad tracks. And then the Carlyle indoor was built.

We used to go between Dino's and Steak and Shake. Then drive up and down East St for a while, then back to Dino's. Man, the trouble the cops gave us was unbelievable, but I bet they would give their left arm if that was all they had to worry about today. In 1985 I was driving a 1978 Malibu that I had bought when I was 14. We spent 2 years and every penny I made on it. I wish I could get back every night I spent putting new transmissions in it!

I do! I met a lot of important people and established many political connections in this manner at those establishments. Good times!! No one would thump you on the head for an attempt at getting some love when you got the fever!!! A man could garner respect just by having a good head on his shoulders. And,it was so easy to get ahead back then!!

Those were the days!

I miss those places so much.

I do. Those cats that hung around Dino's were crazy. Wild eyed boys that didn't have much to say. Lots of memories. One time this chick who was cool, she was red hot--I mean she was steaming-was dancing and shaking all that she got and then she got up and slapped my buddy Johnny in the face,we just fell about the place. If that chick don't wanna know forget her!

Yeah,I loved Dino's. Friday night everyone was dressed to kill.
The drink would flow and blood will spill
And if the boys wanted to fight, you'd better let them!

I also remember that jukebox in the corner blasting out my favorite song.

Good times!!

By the time I was driving and getting around some, nobody was really going to Al Green's. It was still open, but I was only there a couple of times. The tenderloins were awesome! We spent a huge amount of time just hanging out at a couple of gas stations on the southeast side.
