Cellphone Sanctions....Cheater....Liar.. ..No Tournnament....We Want Bobby Back.....Season Forfeited..... Have I covered everything for you whiners so you can get lives and root for whatever school you support - obviously you're not IU fans. Yes, Kelvin has a phone problem - so does my 12 year-old daughter. It cost him half a million dollars, a scholarship, and his last chance at keeping his job. I'd be surprised if the NCAA has anything more to say about this after they've dealt with all the cars, condos, cash and bling that the real trouble-makers have to answer for. By the way, yes the schedule has been soft so far, but that's not IU's fault; who would have thought that Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Southern Illinois, Illinois, Iowa, and Michigan would all suck at the same time?

Some of you are so clueless. Thats why sports writers and coaches get paid to do what they do and you get paid to do what you do. Considering just about everyone in the top 25 lost last week during conference play means there wouldn't be much movement down by any program. Why are some still concerned what Butler is ranked. Your team is in the top 10, just be happy and enjoy. Conference play is conference play, that explains why IU has had tough games against NIT teams like Illinois and Minnesota, why UNC lost to Maryland, why UCLA lost to NIT bound USC. Butler loses two road conference games but clearly those that understand basketball AP/Coaches/USAtoday and others understand how tough road conference games are in any conference. Hell, considering the Dawgs recent records against the bigs indicates some of you should simmer down. Especially this year when the Big 10 has only 2 maybe 3 good team. Yes, the Big 10 is a tougher conference than the Horizon...duh. I just love it though, people obsessing about Butler. I congratulated IU on their ranking and wished them the best, especially since I am an alumni. I couldn't cheer for IU while Bobby Fright was there but now wish them the best. Lastly, to the Purdue people bashing Butler. You are not ranked and Butler is better than you. Deal with it, take the Weis approach and be happy with it, "wait until next year." You will probably be better than IU next year when Gordon is gone but thats next year not now. Go Dawgs, keep rolling.

How long has it been now? Think maybe its time to admit to yourself that he's gone and move on?
I am a huge Knight fan have been for over 30 years, But he coaches TT now and I wish him luck, I would make an observation that his brand of ball may be becoming outdated. Even Duke does alot of 1 on 1 play, and single drives to the hoop. I loved the motion, with weaves and picks, screens and back cuts, but it seems it is going away. College ball is starting to look like pro ball for good or bad.Enough GO IU....

It's ok. People make dumb predictions all the time. Even Sports Illustrated picked the Dolphins to win the Superbowl last year. Maybe you could get a staff job there!

It's a new era in college basketball. If people haven't figured that out, then they're crazy. AAU seasons turn basketball into a year-long venture. Talent is practically contagious. "Mid-Major" programs bring in solid players who stay together all four years and build a dynamic team. The major programs are going to bring in a guy or two who will leave early. It's just a fact.

The competition at this level has never been greater...regardless of the "one-and-done" scenario.

Is IU overrated? My notion is to say yes, but given all the other upsets, you can't argue with the ranking. Did Butler deserve to fall a few more spots? Maybe, but they weren't exactly the only team to lose. Is Purdue playing well...Yes.
Do they all have plenty to prove? Of course.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure these things out...

All of you haters, just get over yourselves, be an objective observer, and open your eyes!

Johnny - What I have seen of the Big Ten games I believe your predictions are "wishful" thinking. All teams will find it hard to win the big games on the road and those who will stand out will win the games on the road that they are suppose to win. Mich St's lost to Iowa could end up haunting them down the road.
I quess your comments are just "predictions" and we will take it as that and hopefully you might watch more of the games.

I think I said right there in my orginal post that IU was a good squad. All I said was that maybe #7 is a liitle high for a team with such a horrible SOS. I didn't fault them because KY, S.Ill, Uconn, ect are down this year, but they have only played 5 teams that have winning records right now. My points were based in facts, the worse SOS of any team in the Top 40 and the only Top 25 team they played they got waxed by. They have a tougher 8 game stretch coming up after the Iowa game and I think after that streatch you will have a pretty good indication of where they stand. By the way, NC's SOS is #26.
If u play in a viable conference your SOS will take care of itself. Even on an off year by BT standards if you sail thru it well your ready for most teams. The weak oponnent could be argued with the PATS. The AFC east was poor, but theyfigure ways to win every game. Thats the bottom line.

As a Proud IU fan since before there was electricity, i don't understand why us IU fans even argue with the Purdue fans. Haven't we as fans figured out by now that Purdue fans is kinda like that sad, homeless puppy sitting in the gutter, wanting recognition from anyone who passes? All we do is belittle them, me, i pity them. It's ok little brother, just like in Toy Story, you've got a friend in me!?:-)

The Big Ten is down?? Three teams in the top 11?? What other confrence can say that... three teams out of eleven in the top 11.... I can definatly see were you are coming from with the weak confrence talk. Quit crying that you guys dont get any respect. I personaly think we are getting disrespected by the AP. We should be ahead of GTown.
The other (2) teams that you and other IU grandstanders want to tout as being top (11), are Michigan State and Wisc. Both teams IU has not played yet. so it stands to reason that IU still has not PLAYED Anybody, thus the RPI of (25), OVER-RATED

For the Purdue fans looking for some light at the end of that very long tunnel, Just grab the radio, put in a Journey cd, crank up the volume, put it on "Don't Stop Believin", grab a lighter and nod your heads. After all, some will win (IU) and some will lose (PU), some are born to sing the blues (PU).

Congrats to the Hoosiers on the ranking.

Memo to other Purdue fans on this board: Regardless of weather or not you agree with the ranking, we need IU to continue to beat the teams like Minnesota, Penn State, and Ohio State because it is with those teams that we will be fighting for a spot in the tourney. Why are we even worrying about IU's ranking? Who cares? We have our own team to worry about. They are coming together really well right now and need to keep winning to get into the tournament. And yet we are more worried about how IU may or may not deserve a ranking of 7th. Come on.

Also,Hoosier fans, moratorium to Wofford talk. We all realize that it was a bad loss. I was at the game, there was no excuse to lose it. I get it. Most of us have moved on from it. We can still get into the tournament with that loss on our record, although it won't help, it wasn't some backbreaking loss that we can't recover from. The selection commitee focuses on the last 10 or so games of the season more than they do a game back in December, so I think we'll be ok. Thanks.

Be honest. Would Indiana take it? We all know the answer is NO.
As usual, the conclusions for people who do NOT know either way.

Please wake up and quit posting stuff you know "absolutely nothing" about.

You act like Butler could take every NBA team much less the NCAA teams.

Wake up, they are not that good.

Is IU that good, I don't know.

That is why they play the game, to find out who is better on a given day. Every team has off days, witness Xavier and Cleveland State as examples.

If we are lucky, they'll get into the same bracket in the NCAA, then we'll all find out!

As far as scheduling, neither of us, or anyone else who posts in this forum, have ANY idea as to whether Butler or IU has tried to schedule games with the other.

I am sure you also put PU and ND into this equation also.

Wofford beat Purdue and then got beat by Drake by 35 points. Your "play somebody" garbage doesnt work real well if the team you root for lost to the worst team they played AT HOME.
I think you should be telling your Purdue squad "beat somebody!!!". Start with the Mighty Terriers of Wofford College.
Nice stats on Purdue, however why would most of us care about Purdue? Are you obsessed with them? Michigan State should be the team you need to watch, not Purdue.

Why doesn't Indiana offer Butler a home and home so we can find out?
IU was playing Butler when no other Big was. I think ur getting at a Big has nothing to gain and thus avoids the 1 on 1 and u would b correct. The fact is IU will sell close to 17,000 tickets regardless of who they play. Clearly student break, adverse weather can effect this but not opponent. So AD's are reluctant 2 sign dangerous schools. But the way it works it's hard 2 see if your avoiding or what. Southern Illinois was a very dangerous team on road 4 IU this year, but when set up AD's didn't have clue, likely not same coach 4 either team.
