The homes are nothing more than 2 cardboard boxes taped together, 3 if it's a split level, and 5 if there is an attached garage.

Another example a government program that spends money without knowing where's it's going. Where does the government do anything better than a private agency that actually has a vested interest in making money/making the program work? Send this a-hole to jail again.

If the picture above the article is that of the person mentioned in the article, then it would appear they're after someone who resembles a lot of the current members of the Colts or the Pacers.

Article indicates this case hinges on some Indianapolis Housing Agency administrators handing out monies to a former convict. Had they done even a limited amount of verification, they would have found this fellow had a criminal record. Further, would seem if they had an ounce of commonsense at the Indianapolis Housing Agency they would have known on day one that anyone looking like the person in this article-accompanying-picture should be checked for prior criminal record(s).

Why aren't these incompetent bureaucrats being punished?

What are the odds the accused in this case claims it's all racial? And what are the odds that he'll never serve time?

This entire program is one of waste. It's poorly administered. And it's a boondoogle. It's political-correctness in action. It's how those in government operate.

He's just a receipient of government largess. He's perfect for government giveaway programs: look at his picture! Surprised they went after him over tax evasion. Probably because it never entered their bureaucratic minds that government receipients should pay taxes. Probably a first.

I think they need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. That is stealing from the government and from families who really need help and can not get it from the government becaus e there are so many people needing assistance and not enough money to go around.

Section 8 is a joke. Women start having babies, don't have jobs, and get rewarded with a free house (courtesy of the taxpayers). Then the baby daddy's show up for a free place to stay and start selling drugs (in many cases). What a great system.

Mr. Ferrell is the owner of two houses in Lawrence township and the assessor valued these homes at $60,100 and $339,500 in 2006! See for yourself at Indystar link below:

A little more than a couple of pieces of cardboard taped together. How do you think the $339,500 house was paid for?

The welfare system is ran by blacks, hired through affirmative action laws. They bring their friends on board for the free ride on the working mans back. Welfare is a scam that must be stopped entirly. It started in 1964 by President Johnson. We have spent TRILLIONS of dollars since and have an increase in "poor" people with their hand out.

I must say, kick all those low income tenets out because the landlord is giving them a place to live. If that is how the Federal Government conducts business I say a revolution is necessary.
