“Christians have an obligation, a mandate, a commission, a holy responsibility to reclaim the land for Jesus Christ — to have dominion in civil structures, just as in every other aspect of life and godliness. But it is dominion we are after. Not just a voice. It is dominion we are after. Not just influence. It is dominion we are after. Not just equal time. It is dominion we are after. World conquest.
That’s what Christ has commissioned us to accomplish. We must win the world with the power of the Gospel. And we must never settle for anything less…
Thus, Christian politics has as its primary intent the conquest of the land — of men, families, institutions, bureaucracies, courts, and governments for the Kingdom of Christ.”
From The Changing of the Guard: Biblical Principles for Political Action by George Grant, published in 1987 by Dominion Press
Since when is Constitutional Liberty a global conquest of a oppresive religeous conspiracy? I count myself as a CONSTITUTIONAL Libertarian (remember Bill Buckley?) And I do not beleive that liberty is any way oppresive.

Seems to me, being a Republican now is a contradiction in terms. Republicans are against government control of us but are against abortion, gays getting married, birth control and other religious beliefs they want into law. It looks to me that is a socialist way of governing yet I hear and read about how Republicans want government out of our private lives.
We grieve when kids are shot down in school, but we freak out when someone calls for the gun laws that are on the books to be enforced. The world's population is at a point we must compromise somewhere.

This is a well thought out point and I get it. I do not agree with many social platforms of the republican party. I am pro abortion, pro gay marriage, and pro birth control. My key issues are almost all financial/economic. I disagree with the welfare program as it currently stands. The tax code is a joke. Entitlements are out of control. People need to stand on their own whenever possible and tough love is something I believe works. However, in reality republicans have been shifting to uber-right social preachers moreso than the fiscal conservativism I would prefer. That is why I can no longer consider myself a republican. I disagree with all the social stuff. I believe there are right wing social republicans and right wing fiscal republicans and I strongly agree with one and strongly disagree with the other. Democrats just seem to be miserable human beings for the most part, which makes it hard to support any of them.

Not sure what to think of this one. Criminals don't follow laws (by definition) so I find it hard to believe that a criminal who wanted to hurt a lot of people wouldn't do so regardless of the nation's gun laws.

My thing with the gun laws is that that they're gun shows that sale guns with no back ground checks and so many guns sold under the table. It's by far no answer to the guns issue, but it will help. I feel that gun laws like drug laws are ineffective to the social issues that affects our country.

The laws are sentencing guidelines. And outdated. They will never keep guns or drugs off the streets.

So the old KKK had three capital letters, the Tea Party, whatever that is, only deserves one capital, and two small letters?

Say is the Tea Party anything that you do not remotely agree with?

Obama announces "his" plan to "fix" obamacare, but when many of his democrats jumped ship on obamacare and chose to back the republican, then Obummer says he will veto? Nice! Once again, it is about mindless control of sheep and his anti-Christ, Marxist way to exterminate his nonbelievers. Obama will stop at nothing to do the work of satan, and take America down to his vision of hell.
