You mean the Pacers embarassed some people with all both of the incidents that occurred. TWO. One two. If people abandon a team because of two off court incidents, I'd imagine the "fair weather" tag fits.
Not to mention more Colts have been arrested in the last three years than Pacers. The difference is that the Colts won and the Pacers didn't.
You're forgetting what they did to Reggie's final season, in Detroit. That national display was embarrassing. The Pacers' arrests occurred at a strip club, and a thug bar. I still root for my Pacers, but look forward to rebuilding a team with some class.

All that aside, GO HORSE! I was stunned when they said that only 4 players on our team have played for any other NFL team. Stunned to hear we were the second youngest team in the NFL.
I am so psyched!

Desmond... The levels of class displayed by the Colts over the last several years compared to the Pacers has been totally different. Before Reggie retired, both had outstanding leaders. Even during Reggie's last year there was only so much he could do with jacka$$es that wouldn't listen like Artest.

After Reggie left that team fell apart. You never heard about incidents at strip clubs. O'neal even wants off the team. How do you support a club like that? We were a lot better before Bird. He is too worried about people thinking he is biased and let's the players get away with too much.

Everyone expects the Colts to have a dominate offense. The reason a lot of us were upset about the team before was (until Freeney) all our money went to a handfull of offensive players. Sure it's fun to see the big numbers but we always struggled due to our D.

Our D is now the best part of this team. It's people that work their a$$es off. You don't see that on the Pacers. BobZilla makes every hit as hard as possible w/o any concern to his own body.

Nothing gains respect like hard work.

My point is that of the current Pacers', only two of them were charged with anything, the barfight. The outrage snowballed to the point that dozens of posts on Pacers' threads would have comments like "always shooting up bars and getting arrested", "they're all thugs *always* getting arrested". There's hyperbole, of course, but such gross generalizations were repeated so much, that a lot of Pacer fans began to believe them. The Pacers' current situation isn't an issue of class, it's an issue of management that made overly reactionary one sided trades in a short term effort to calm down the ignorant fans screaming for blood (how else can one explain the SJax trade). The fact that Carlisle was so loathed by his players played a great role as well.

Thank you for clearing that up.
I think the Star and all other news organizations need to heve two web sites: One for those who want to respond the the news and sports stories in a constructive manner, and a web site for those who have nothing but garbage and junk in their minds and hearts. Let them be as idiotic as they want with others, but leave the rest of us alone.
One game does not a season make, but the Colts are on the right track to another great start and another great season.
Charles....I love your idea....only wish it were more feasible.

Jay is a moron. His posts are always hateful. Many others like him on these boards. It gets pretty disgusting. Hopefully, it is only a vocal few because I would hate to think there are that many people out there so full of venom. Some of these people can make a negative situation out of anything.

Tony Dungy is a class act and a good man. Bad things sometimes happen to good people.

No kidding. Tony beat a 10-6 team from last year who over achieved. I couldn't agree with you more about being "fair weathered". Father Tony is going to wish he talked Tarik Glen to stay another year instead of writing self help books. Whew!

Typical Bears fan response...still better about the Superbowl?

Your weak arse NFC is like the NBA Eastern Conference - everyone knows the Western Conference (aka AFC) is going to win it all.

Have fun beating up on all the other NFC losers...

I have seen some sore loosers in my life but you take the cake. THERE ARE SEVERAL BLOGS ON HERE THAT ,TO ME SEEM LIKE THEY ARE JUST TRYING TO GET A RISE FROM SOMEONE. the FACT THAT SOME PEOPLE CAN NAME THE COLTS OF 84 AND ON DOESN'T MAKE THEM FANS. THE FACT THAT MOST OF THE PACERS ARE AFRICAN AMERICAN AND SOME MADE VERY DUMB DECISIONS DOSEN'T MAKE THE PEOPLE THAT THOUGHT THEY WERE STUPID, TO BE OUT ON A WEEKNIGHT AT A BAR, RACIST. I HAVE THREE BROTHERS THAT LIVE IN FLORIDA THAT STILL LOVE THE PACERS AND IU, BUT LEFT BEFORE THE COLTS ARRIVED . I HAVE BEEN IN A FRIENDLY BATTLE WITH THEM OVER THE DOLPHINS AND Colts Since 84, so I know that most colts fans are not fair weather, we have just waited a long time to holler so give us a break. Root for your team and we will do the same GO Colts AND Pacars.

I have to assume you meant "They're" an 8-8 team. And I have to assume that since they won on emotion that win doesn't count in your book? I'm not sure if you spending a lot of time at the zoo makes you a bear fan...or if you're trying your best to say your are a Bears fan. In any regard........SCORE BOARD BABY!

Why don't you learn how to use proper grammar instead of just arbitrarily insulting farmers with your stupid hay bailing comment? Freak.

I completely agree with you, and Carlisle is one of our clients! Throughout all of our ups and downs,(remember when we were excited about Chuck Persons?[class act]). I've been a (lately dismayed) Pacer supporter.

Now to the good news;
CAN YOU BELIEVE FOOTBALL PERFECTION IS HAPPENING FOR US????????

You're right, and my doubts too; are with management. What happened from the 90s, when mgmt. built a team around a simply genius talent like Reggie?
We had that potential in Oneal, but apparently lacked the management skills to bring it to fruition. Still do. Sad.

Meanwhile, Mr. Polian has me CHARGED! I BELIEVE!
Maybe the Pacers mgt. should meet with him!

DID YOU SEE OUR ROOKIES AND YOUNGSTERS? How about Mr. Goirdano? We're all going to experience NFL glory, and it's special, even more rare.
