Shawn was an acquaintance of my husband's. Here's my problem: Shawn has been missing for almost two months. He was found in the trunk of a car registered to him. According to yesterday's article, residents reported having seen the car parked for quite some time. What took so long? Why are they just now finding him?
On a different note, my condolences to his family. I know that he will be sorely missed.

Now, who can begrudge the cops a donut or two? But I doubt that the guys who opened that trunk went for a cream-filled afterward.

Black mans body found in car trunk...was shot weeks ago. More than likely killed by friends or "business" deal gone bad.

Why wasn't that apartment complex monitoring cars on their property.
The complex should have a list in the office of the lic plate of everyone renting....and monitoring the parking areqws on q dqily basis.

"Residents reported having seen the car parked there for quite some time" doesn't mean any of the neighbors bothered to call the police about the vehicle. It just means some of them told the reporters on scene that it had been there a while. Stop blaming the police for something they couldn't possibly control or know before-hand and stop being so gullible as to not think for yourselves when reading an article in a newspaper. If its on or in the news it must be true! Stupidity at its best.

Quick was arrested in 2002 for Attempted Murder after a shootout on th southside. The charges were later dropped when the witnesses developed amnesia.

I saw a few pics of him on TV. I'm surprised he made it into his 30's. He presented himself like a real thug...or wanna-be thug. Whether he was a drug dealer or not, if you lined up 8 guys on a wall and said "pick the criminal", most people would point to him.

Man...I feel sorry for his family. I was just reading an article on him in the Indianapolis Recorder. His fiancee' reported him missing, but the police didn't act on it, really, and it's probably because of his legal history.

Another man gone, another family shattered...bless the children...

Too bad some of you forget this is a human being, someone's son. Of course, everyone on this post is an angel with no past transgressions. I don't know him and don't care what he did for a living. It's another homicide in a city that seems to have one a day. Remember what his family must be going through before you make another thoughtless comment.

Good or bad person, what matters now is why the police did not tow the car in and conduct an inspection. And, how long was the car going to sit in the parking lot before the managment did something about it!

Wow!

According to the DOC web site, this guy had two Class A felony convictions for dealing cocaine, then was given less than the minimum sentence for them.

Hmmmmm, 2 years for a felony that carries 15 to 45 years, gotta make you wonder, was he snitching, or is this just another example of our fledgling, inconsistent legal system?
