Is that when you first looked at that cooter and said,"One day this will be mine."

If your conduct on this forum is indicative of the manner in the way you behave in the real world,I can understand your need to be the king of your home. In the real world you're nothing more than an impotent and overbearing hauteur.

You're the kind of person that's always wrong, but everyone needs to agree with you to keep things moving along.

Your views are contradictions. You say you dislike quitters and bad parenting resulting in teen pregnancies-yet,you think Sara Palin would make a good president.

Does your GF drive an automobile? Does she have access to one? Does she work outside of the home? Do you allow her access to the internet?

When you first saw her when she was only 5 yrs old and you were 38 yrs old,did you fall in love with her at that moment?

Sounds like you need a stepford wife..Oh that's right, for a guy that spends an inordinate amount of time extolling the virtues of marriage, you refuse to marry your current GF. You seem to value only those that are willing kiss your behind. Perhaps you have not fully trained her to where you want her to be totally submissive and dependent upon you just yet?

I can feel your insecurity coming thru the intertubes.

Having the youngin' around makes you feel like a rockstar,eh? Or is the word king the more appropriate description than rockstar?

Good point. Old Dave just can't bring himself to write negatively about old fart and young flesh love.

Dave just might be a member of the North American Old Man and Young Girl Association.

It would be weird dating someone 33 years younger. You certainly don't have shared experiences in common. Moreover, It would be even more weird if you met her when you were 38 and she was only 5 yrs old.

I'm beginning to think Dave and his ilk have a little piece of Appalachia in this town the rest of us are not quite aware existed.

Well, if my math is correct, Phil was 19, or 20 when they were married. Would I want my daughter marrying at 16? No. Was it fairly common 50 years ago? Yes. No matter how you feel about it, it does appear that things have worked out pretty well for them.
You also have to look at it from another angle. How many 16 year old girls in this city already have, or are soon to have a child? Which would be better for society, a 16 year old that marries a 20 year old, and stays married for 50 years while running a successful business? Or is it better to have 16 year old girls with multiple children, and no father? I think we are all reminded of what the answer is when we read the headlines each morning.

Sixty or seventy years ago marriage was as young as 13 - 15 in some areas of the nation. How young were those married in the pioneer days when death before 40 was not uncommon?

There is such a group, the Rene Guyon Society. Their motto is "Sex before 8 or else it's too late!"

I wonder how long he groomed her so she thought she was supposed to be his out of obligation?

Those marriages were arranged and the girl had no say in them. They were to shut up, run the house, and make babies. And if they dies in childbirth, as many did, the man went out and got another female. Because, you know, women are here just to make men happy.

Today's culture is much better today then it was back in my time. With over 50% married couples getting a divorce taking everything a man has worked for in his married life. Then you have to pay child support even if it was the woman's fault. So what if she went to bed with your best friend and got pregnant. You were married to her at the time so the court sees that child as yours. Why don't I get married? Ha. No way with your liberal no fault divorce laws.

I don't know if Sara Palin would make a good President. I don't trust any person running for office. Besides she is not conservative enough for me.

Just for you information my GF drives a new car. Ok now new it has 15,000 miles on it. Yes it is in my name but she has use of it anytime she wants it. She even has her own computer and she has internet. Not that it would make much difference. BTW, she does not have to work outside of our home.

But back to my main point. Why get married today? People are excepted in any relationships today. Black and white, gay, or even more then on person. So what the big deal about marriage? I can make plans (and I already have) to leave her whatever I want to leave her.
This BS about having to be married for spouse rights is just that, BS. If I am unable to control my own assets, she has more control then my own family does. That is because she is here everyday and knows what is going on.

The modern ways are better. Fun, games and debt. Glad I am debt free.
As far as my views being contradictions, ask your Grand Father.

It's so predictable to find a so-called "conservative" who expresses contempt for society and portrays him/herself as better than society, above it all, and as one who lives according to their own superior morals, yet is the FIRST one to use society as an excuse to sink to the lowest bar-level set by the same society they claim to be above.

Dave, can I have her after you are finished with her?
I will gladly give you a dowry today for a piece of that pie later.
We would both make out well.
You will have more money today to lavish on her or to tip her when she cleans your knob, or changes your diaper.
Think of it as a reverse mortgage.
We conservatives support you Phil, or I mean Dave. We are here for you man!

This goes on in many third wold countries we do big trade with.We are rebuilding and defending Afghanistan where many Muslim men have many wife's and children, Mnay girls who can't vote, bank. or even wear make up. I would think that is more important of an issue than what Phil Robertson said what he believes in free speech. I laugh how people get caught up in reality tv as though it's total reality. What he said keeps the gay issue alive and in the news and in our faces, That's called entertainment . I believe Elizabeth Taylor was married what 7 times or was it 8 and a zsa zsa gabor like ten times. You dont see the media going after Hugh Hefner Mr Playboy, He is Jewish and a Liberal. But he surrounds himself with women barely 18 yrs old and impregnates them. You notice the sleaziest rated x mags were also started up by jews, Recently the founder of screw magazine died. The former child star of Christmas story and a few other movies he starred in, The one who stuck his tongue to a pole in the movie, He later made porn movies for many years Now he sells sports cards.Note if one is Christian and has a certain belief and opinion , They become a target by the left endlessly.

Well, this isn't the pioneer days. And if it were, your co-horts would've left you a long time ago along the wilderness trail.

You're the one always talking about how marriage is a great, sacred, moral and christian thing to do. And now you're whining about it? Obviously you don't have much faith in your relationship. Because in your feeble mind, every woman is out to get old stupid Dave. Even wives who stay at home help make success or failure, and thus usually get a portion of the marital assets. There's also this thing called a DNA test if you doubt paternity. If she names you as the father--regardless of marital status--you'll need to get a paternity test anyway.

The control you have over your GF's finances and property show your insecurity. Put the damn car in her name and insist she get a job...she needs life skills.

Marital rights come out of forming the legal contract of marriage. I can guarantee you that, unless you have that contract, the second you can't make your own decisions, she has NO RIGHTS whatsoever...unless you have business contracts, living will, medical directives, etc, which I highly doubt.

Sorry marriage isn't the property of white heteros, but them's the breaks. BTW--plural marriage isn't recognized anywhere in this country.

No. He was afraid she only wanted to marry him for his measly monthly union retirement. Lol. I can't imagine it being more than $2k/monthly seeing his idea of a gourmet meal is Cherry Tree McDonalds. He thinks he's quite the catch.
