Violence comes as a result of poverty and addiction. Cocaine is more addictive than alcohol, so it's fair to say that cocaine is more prone to causing violence than alcohol.Do you agree that in general, the effects of alcohol are not as prone to causing violence as cocaine mixed with chemicals, like crack? Or what about meth?
That being said, there are plenty of recreational users of both cocaine and alcohol. If a poor person get hooked on either one, then they may resort to violence in order to feed their addiction.
