Because they know they have screwed up!
I think there should be a movement to get rid of the board, all other HSE Central Office Administrators and bring back Dr. Raimondi so she can run the schools the way they should be run.

One more explanation that I would love to hear; How and when did the board make this decision? It seems unlikely to me that the board did not deliberately wait to make this announcement until after the deadline for filing to run for a position on the board in the next election. It smells pretty rotten to me!

Lack of collaboration! Well gee was she not the final say and did she not receive a raise for being good? Seems with new school going up some may have asked for things added not needed. The buck stopped with her, please tell citizens who disagreed and why with her leadership. Seems school board is trying to paint a broad path of unhappy fellow workers, please give names and reasons. Or might it be some on board were miffed themsleves. Extend a contract so you could pay more to buy it out, makes no sense.
Register and vote you just might want to ask about the buyout with your tax dollars.

We will need to write in school board candidates. I suggest a meeting in the very near future at a very public location. Anyone interested in run should show up. The board should not micromanage

These board members are either imcompetent or lack backbone. This looks like a JSturgis thing, and I don't want him making decisions on education any longer. He should resign!

This story is just so astounding. It is not just Sturgis that should resign, but they all should. We need a clean sweep and let Dr. Raimondi get back to the great work she had been doing. We certainly don't need the board micromanaging, or accountants, like Rueter. This is not how many kids can fit in a classroom, but how do we best bring services to all the students. Rueter, Hollingshead and some of the other central staff should be the ones who are gone.

What is going on with the HSE board? "Lack of collaboration "does not fit the requriement of secret emergency meeting and immediate dismissal of the superintendent. I am disappointed with the actions by the Board of HSE. I don't have children at HSE or live in that area, but I regard the HSE as an upcoming school system to surpass Carmel or Zionsville but the latest actions by HSE Board left me to reconsider the future of HSE education.

Not being on the selective list (parents )that the school board decided to notify...I ask why?
Do they not realize that there are many residents
in HSE School District that do not have children in school.
If we are not important enough to be notified, then why should we pay school taxes?

Did any parent get a communication from the district tonight? Was one sent, but I think it may just be "internal" so far.

Katrina Hockemeyer and Bob Keck were behind this one. If you know them, ask them. Keck isn't running for re-election, thank goodness, but Katrina has two more years. How much more damage will she do as she tries to advance her personal agenda? I wonder who else is on Katrina's hit list? Principals - beware!! Is she looking out for the best interests of all our children, or just hers? I will do all I can to make sure she is not re-elected.

Katrina, ask your constituents their opinions and don't dig up dirt where there is none. It only makes you look bad, and it reflects on the rest of our community.

I just read the load of poppycock that the school board sent out!! Unbelievable!!!!
Why not fire EVERYONE involved in the ruckus at Central Office?
Dr. R was the boss and to let her subordinates get her job is ludicrious.
The school board should resign immediately!

I can't speak for the other people but Mike Reuter is as good as they come in what he does. It is amazing how incompetent people in education are when it comes to the business side of things. He runs the corporation amazingly well from a business standpoint. So many corporations don't have anyone near the capability of Mike Reuter and suffer dearly for it. To get rid of him would be an incredibly bad decision.

I am not sure I am clear on your statement about "anyone interested in run should show up" but if you mean if people want to run for this board, it is too late to sign up for it this year. The deadline was last Friday I believe...oh yeah right before this news broke. I am fairly certain there will be public forums for you to come out and grill the candidates. Two of the existing candidates are up for re-election. One is unopposed and the other is facing a single challenger. Stay tuned for an opportunity to come out and ask questions.

Why does the board have to sit in a room concocting a story to tell the tax paying residents of Fishers? The truth should not take several hours. What is the real story?

At least you have had the opportunity to read the "poppycock"
There are many taxpayers in HSE school district who still do not have any idea what the reasons were.
We are only taxpayers....no students...

Unfortunatley I know that Mike Rueter has made numerous comments over the years and they deal more with numbers not with the students. He is truely amazing at his lack of understanding of the classroom. He was here with Leonard and they both dragged the system down.

We can still "write in" candidates on election day.

This may have started with Keck, but we have some spineless board members who followed Strugis into this.

They should all do us a favor and resign.

I really cannot believe that you would rather keep Rueter than Raimondi. How insane.
