I have enjoyed Mrs Weaver since her arrival in Oct 95. Her professionalism, and care for the news,
exceeds many of her constituents.
We will truly miss her, but will keep her and her family in our prayers.

Good for you Martha. We hate to see you go, but the extended family is so important.
I have 2 grandchildren in Micigan that I would love to have a closer relationship with. I miss them so much and talk to them often, and we go up two or three times a year, but still...
They are young for such a short time and it's important that they know that family surrounds them.
Have a great life and God speed.

One more comment, please don't hire within. All of the new girls have such a "nasal" voice. What's with that? I turn to another channel when they report.

A huge loss. She simultaneously brought credibility and charm to the Ch. 6 anchor desk. Unlike some others locally, her delivery never qualified her to be a TV news drama queen. Our loss is Minnesota's gain.

Yeah, I couldn't work with that Paul Poteet jerk either Martha.

Good luck to you.

We'll miss your smile but since it's for your daughter, it's for the best of reasons.

Unfortunately, that's true. The two monkey boys cutting up on the AM show is, to me, sort of a symbol of their news department's (mis)management.

You can be sure the motivation is more about being unable to come to terms on a new contract. WRTV probably doesn't pay squat vs. WISH or WTHR.

She probally had to move out of the area because she could not afford property taxes.I hope they replace her with a young hottie.

Family first! Fantastic decision.
Of all the news you have ever reported, good or bad, this information about your personal life brings hope to America that some still know whats real.
Best wishes.

Wow! She hasn't looked like that picture since she first started at RTV.
No kidding! She's put on about 50 lbs since that photo was taken. I wonder if they let her go -- stations generally like slender, attractive women. Not women who have only a pretty face.

Good Luck Martha! Family first is a great decision in this day & age.

Sorry Ch 6 - but won't be watching you any more after Aug - Martha was the only tolerable portion of your newscast.

Now... where can we send Paul Poteet? Iraq .. do they need a weather guy? that man annoys the living poo out of humanity!! maybe then we can get our boys home?
