well said. Besides outrageous prices for hamburgers and fries and shakes the restaurants are nasty. The only time SNS sounds good is at midnight when nothing else is open. Maybe the menu should be less deceiving, let's say the burger is $3.59, if you want cheese that is 39 cents, lettuce and tomato another 40 cents. You would think the morons running the company like Doug Willard, Gary Walker etc. would realize this. SNS is more like white castle and less like Fridays per say. Please give us fast food prices, that is what your food is!

Has anyone from corporate ever eaten at their own restaurants? Then you would know how to fix the problem. Finding fault at the retail level is blame game. Quality has been going down for years.

..do not ever order any pasta product.. I was sitting at the counter at SNS (harding & southport) watching the manger help out the drive-thru.. he grabed the pasta with his hands and threw in the bowl.. I'm sure all fast food places do crap like this, just seeing it myself was nasty..

Why should I go to SNS when the competition has much better prices? With the compition offering dollar menu items I can have a decent lunch for under 4$, while at SNS its more like 6.50$. You do the math?

I feel that the problem with stake/shake is the crap service at every single location. The small serving size for the priceand the quality of people working at each location.
If i'm going to pay $10.00 for a fast food meal, I should never have to wait until i'm done eating to have my drink refilled. I should be full at the end of the meal and I shouldn't have to hear our waitress talk about a disease her kid has....true story.

I've been to Stake/Shake at least 10 times in the past 2 years and i can honestly say that the food is the only good thing there....i'll probably never go back

There is a reason fast food places can sell their hamburgers so cheap! You complain about SnS prices but the fast food prices are going up too!

The hamburgers at fast food joints are full of fillers, bone and gistle.

Go ahead and eat ground bone, gristle and fillers, it's your choice!

I will gladly pay a little more at SnS to get a delicious steakburger!

I will say this however, I liked it better when they pressed the bun on the grill and the edges on the steakburger were crispy. They are in too much of a hurry now and it shows

Mcdonald's 100% guarantees that their burgers are 100% ground beef

besides, SNS just doesn't care about their own restaurants anymore

It's not fast food, folks. It's a restaraunt.

You’re right, it’s a restaurant. However, I can go to Applebee’s and get a MUCH better burger and fries for about the same cost. You either have to be closer to McDonald’s prices, or closer to Applebee’s quality. You can’t charge Applebee’s prices for McDonald’s food.

Oh, and to echo the sentiments of many on here, the service sucks!

Ate at the SNS at Fishers last week and the service was terrible. Waited 10 minutes before our order was taken and when it arrived, had to wait another 10 minutes for our shakes. Never did get refills on our cokes. Staff was to busy talking to friends at other tables to take care of the real customers. Needless to say my "tip" wasn't that large. Probably shouldn't have left on at all. They have a problem there that they need to address and soon.

Yup, that always happends to us. Perhads the owners should not announce that their going to a store and dress up and see for them selves how bad the service is

And you hit it on the head....at any other fast food restaurant, I get my own refills so I don't have to wait and I don't have to add a tip

Steak & Shake is not worth the price now, I definately will boycott it when prices climb. My family can eat Steak at a Steak house for what we pay at this Hamburger joint. DEFINATELY NOT WORTH IT!!!

Steak n Shake's CEO's need to listen to their customers---not enough food offered for the price. I used to really like SnS, but now, I won't even think of stopping in.

People, do yourselves a favor and go to Culvers. You'll pay $2 less per person for a much better meal!

The only time I usually eat there is when we have coupons. Otherwise it is just too expensive for what you get.

Service is lousy.

At one time, Steak n' Shake was a great place to eat - back when I was a kid more than 30 years ago.

The problem with Steak n Shake is that they have always praised the fact that their menu has not changed in many years. All of a sudden, they change it and it appears to have back fired. My family use to go to Steak n Shake at least once a week. Since the change, mainly the salads, I prefer to go elsewhere. With prices going up, it is easier to go to locations such as Ruby Tuesdays or Chilis and spend about the same amount for a better quality meal.

Steak n Shake - its not about raising prices and trying to improve service, its about keeping what works and stayin consistent. YOu should have never changed something that did not need fixed. Adding items are OK, but changing them...well...you already know how that worked out.

Yes, I do love Culvers...and you will get full there....the French Fries and cooked to order every time and you get your own drinks and don't have to tip a dirty waitress telling you about their problems
