Grandmother jailed on drugs charges

A 42-year-old grandmother from Clonmel has been given 10 years in jail for her first offence of having cocaine for sale and supply.

this women from clonmel with no previous convictions gets 10 years in jail for 1kg of cocaine and 36kg of hash and 2 days later a man in dublin with over 20 previous convictions also got sentenced to 10 years for 10.5 million worth of heroin,25kg of hash and 2 sub machine guns with silencers and rapists and child killers are geting out after 2 - 3 years with new names.thats not right,this judge went way too far!!!

sorry ,if u dont want to do the time dont do the crime,what example is she to her children and greadchildren, does it matter what time she got, she had the drugs and was caught, who knows how long she was doing it before she was caught

He didnt go half far enough,in some countries she would have been hanged.

Her 22 year old Son died of a drugs overdose. I know. I'm from the Town. Who would want her for a mother.

We all tend to be from the hang em and flog em brigade when it comes to law and order. But when it comes knocking on our door, say let it be a close relative or friend who is in trouble, we tend to see another side of the argument. Bad guys should go to Jail, but there ARE ordanery decent criminals out there who abhor voilence of any sort. Also, those hypocrits including the legal profession living in their leafy suburbs who snort coke at weekends are the ones who keep this business going. its obvious u hav no idea wat ur on about this woman had no idea the drugs were in her home,she was beside herself with grief over the death of her yong son and evil ppl took advantage of this

im from clonmel and in responce to james d comment, true she lost her son to drug overdose. and because she was so lost in grief it inabled so called family totake advantage of her, they sat back n watched her grand kids lose their granny, so dont b so quick to judge her
